the Roanoke City Public Schools logo visually represents the vitality of the community and its schools with a positive image of a circleofpeoplejoinedtogetherthroughlearningandexperiences.ThecolorsarepulledfromtheRoanokeCityidentitytoshowaunitybetweenCityidentityefforts.Thetypographyreinforcesthatunityaswell.Thestardepictsthebeloved,characteristiclandmarkoftheRoanokeregion,theMillMountainStar.Thestyalizedshapesofthepeoplecouldidentifyparents,children,educators,family,cityleaders,andcommunitymemberscomingtogethertobenefitstudents.

developing a new logo

and slogan that will be

implemented in a phased-

buildingsandvehicles.
