We get together in the capital city of Imphal and meet our fellow travelers. Trust us when we tell you that you will shake hands with strangers today but on the last day of the journey, you will be hugging these same people! In the evening, enjoy a Gala Dinner at the hotel and get a general briefing on this remarkable drive of a lifetime.

Sit behind the wheels of your car and start driving towards, Tamu the India-Myanmar border. It will take us a few hours to reach the Tamu/Moreh border where our team from Myanmar will be waiting to help us clear the border formalities. Once we cross the border and enter Myanmar get ready to eat some dust as you cross 46 iron bridges all within a distance of 100 km! As we reach Kale by evening, just take rest as it has been a long day on the road.

As you take the wheels today get ready to negotiate through dusty roads and river crossings on stunning mountain roads with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. It is going to be a rough and challenging road before you enter Bagan, the temple city. The city is dotted with thousands of temples and pagodas that will trigger the explorer in you. You have no clue what you are going to witness today. Bagan, the jewel of Myanmar, a small town home to 4446 Pagodas. No matter where you look, all you will see is ancient, magnificent temples all around you. It is like a sea of temples, pagodas and you just have to be there to feel the calm, the peace and the vibrations of this holy land. Lunch will be in a beautiful setting at a river view restaurant. Later in the evening, relax and soak your senses in the ambience of this enchanting city.

After breakfast, the first stop has to be the Great Shwe Dagon Pagoda. Spend a few hours in awe at the sight of this magnificient Pagoda and then head to the White Elephant Zoo. Tired? Hungry? Let’s go for lunch to a famous Indian Restaurant. After lunch, we will visit the Bogyoke Market and do some shopping. By evening, we will get back to the hotel and relax for a while before we enjoy a lovely dinner and cultural show. Overnight at Yangon.

Post the temple run, hit the road to Yangon through the new Yangon-Mandalay 16 lane expressway that is famously nicknamed as the ‘big-road’. It will give you that rare chance in Myanmar to hit the gas and soak in some countryside. We stop for lunch at Nay Pyi Taw, the brand new capital of Myanmar where you will find everything from 5 star hotels, concert halls, and convention centers to swanky buildings. The only thing missing will be people as the city is only 50% occupied! After a long but eventful drive we reach Yangon, or as we still love to call it, Rangoon and hang in our travel boots to take rest.

Day 10: Bangkok

Hit the pedals and get ready to face the road to Mt Kyaiktiyo, which is going to be curvaceous and meandering. But the drive will give you your money’s worth when you lay your eyes on the spectacle of Golden Rock! It is gaudy, it is huge, it is stunning! It is a rock coated in gold and topped with a stupa, balancing itself on top of a mountain and enjoys the status of being the holiest shrine for the Buddhists. Soak in the atmosphere charged with magic and devotion and return to the hotel later for dinner.

Today we are free to enjoy the pleasures of this bustling city. Check out the forbidden sweets on offer, visit the megamalls or savor the tastes of street food. Go on a wild shopping spree or just sit back and sip a cocktail in a rooftop restaurant is this multidimensional city. In the evening we have planned a wild party for you to celebrate our success and pay respect to this city that never sleeps!

Cruise along on the silky tarmacs of Thailand for a relatively smooth and leisurely drive. This is going to be our last but most inspiring drive of the trip as we are about to make history! The road to victory is ours to take as we enter Bangkok and bask in the glory of our remarkable feat!

Today is our last day of driving through the Hilly terrains and dusty roads of Burma before crossing Mae Sot border, Myanmar to enter Thailand. Give yourself a pat on the back as you have realized what very few in the world have only dreamed. We keep driving till we reach Tak, which forms one of Thailand’s largest wildlife corridors! Overnight in Tak.

-Drive through thick forests and hairpin bends as we get a real taste of Burma to reach Inle Lake that is a beautiful freshwater lake located in the Shan Plateau. It is home to the Intha people who are lake dwellers and are unique for their leg rowed traditional boats. We reach by evening to check-in and take rest at our hotel.

Hit the pedal and get ready for a long drive to this most populated capital of the Karen state, Myanmar. It has been a long day on the road so hang in your travel boots and take some rest at the hotel. Overnight in Hpa an.

Day 13: Inle Lake Time to dawn those tourists hats again! Today we are going to experience Inle Lake, a place that is unique, that has no match anywhere else in the whole world. This fresh water lake is a world on its own. Shops, restaurants, food and craft markets, tobacco units, silk weaving, Pagodas and of course the fishermen who have their own signature style of fishing where they use their feet to control the fishing nets! You are going to see it all today. We will lunch at a gorgeous floating restaurant when we are able to find some time out from looking around! Back to the hotel in the evening.Overnight at Inle.

Day 14: Inle – Mandalay (260 Km, 4 hrs)

Day 15: Mandalay – Kale (363 Km, 6 hrs)

Mark this day as you have managed to become part of a rare group of Roadies to clock more than 4000 Km and reach the Myanmar border, Kale. Tonight we celebrate what we have achieved and bid adieu to this remarkable land and our Burmese hosts. Over-night in Kale.

The road takes us to the former capital of Burma, Mandalay with a rich and exotic past! This city houses the historical prison where famous Indian freedom fighters like Bal Gangadhar Tilak were imprisoned during the British Raj. Half of Burma’s monks reside in this city and it has its own share of Royal Palaces and monasteries for whetting the appetites of those in search of culture and history. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 16: Kale – Imphal, India (250 Km, 8 hrs)

Day 17: Back Home.

Sit behind the wheel of your car as you return home a HERO! You are in for a grand drive as you cross yet again the 46 Iron bridges and finally enter the Indian Territory when you cross borders to enter Imphal. Take a deep breadth and soak in the smell of Victory. Yes, you did it!
