What’s the most important step you can take towards paying for college?
FAFSA Overview Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUis5lityCQ
Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete your FSA ID (open now) & then complete your FAFSA (opens
October 1st.
![Page 27: RMHS Road to College Night - Mesa Public Schools · 1. 22 credits 2. Completed ECAP 3. Pass American Civics Assessment Cumulative GPA: GPA based upon how you’ve done in ALL classes.](https://reader035.fdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022063001/5f178fba4846750a613a993b/html5/thumbnails/27.jpg)
Why is completing the FAFSA so important?
It lets you and the college know your family’s expected financial contribution
(EFC).
A college will create a financial aid package based upon the results of the
FAFSA and the merit scholarship award
The FAFSA results, known as the Student Aid Report (SAR), are the
starting point for consideration for ALL types of financial aid, including
loans, work study and many private scholarships. We’ve had students who
have been denied great private scholarship opportunities because they
hadn’t filed the FAFSA!
