    Sound and Vibration InformationSound LevelsThe operator sound pressure levelmeasured according to the proceduresspecified in ISO 6394:1998 is 87 dB(A)for the cab offered by Caterpillar, whenproperly installed and maintained andtested with the doors and windowsclosed.

    The labeled sound power level is 111dB(A) measured according to the testprocedure and conditions specified in2000/14/EC and ISO 6393:1998 for astandard machine configuration.

    Hearing protection may be needed whenoperating with an open operator stationand cab (when not properly maintainedor doors/windows open) for extendedperiods or in noisy environments.

    Vibration Levels Hands/Arms: The weighted root mean

    square acceleration to which thehands/arms are subjected, is less than2.5 m/s2.
