The RM-17 Portable Watthour Test System is the most accurate self-con-tained residential meter tester available. Unlike other residential meter testers, the RM-17 is not simply an electronic meter or a resistive load used as a verifier. Instead, the RM-17 incorporates a true field proven Radian Research watthour standard as its reference. The RM-17 has a guaranteed accuracy of +/- 0.05% which is traceable to NIST.

WE-20 Portable Tester/Analyzer delivers three-phase field-testing using a Radian Research RD-30 internal standard complimented by a sophisticated, lightweight package. The WE-20 allows you to execute a multitude of tests at the customer’s site. Test the meter with the customer’s load, perform CT burden and ratio tests, and verify system wiring to give you the peace of mind that the entire metering installation is correct. Harmonic Analysis, CT Testing, Vectors, and Trends can all be tested without pulling the meter from its socket.

The RS-933 is a totally automated laboratory calibration system that provides automated testing of field and primary standards as well as qualification testing of new solid state meter designs. Bantam Lite ... Lightweight yet Rugged Meter Test Solution

Bantam is designed with portability and safety in mind. Packaged in high technology composite PVC/Acrylic alloy to help reduce weight yet maximize structural integrity. Should misconnection occur Bantams’ quick wiring safety check determines and prevents operation if voltage is detected on the current inputs. Further-more, the 600V rated ON/OFF switch isolates the load from the meter service voltage to prevent flashover from occurring while connection to the test meter takes place.

This test kit is very versatile yet simple to operate. All test functions, including series and element tests, are controlled from front panel switches without the need for re-wiring. FL and LL test currents are logi-cally placed on the current selection switch and the output current can be linearly adjusted from no load up to full range. Both unity (1.0) and 50% (0.5) lagging power factors can be tested. The hand held controller automates testing with the ability to provide voltage, current and phase measurement display, automatically calculate, display, and store test results. The data can then be easily uploaded to a PC or printed on the RM-RPP portable printer.

Building on proven design with a long service record, this test solution is reliable and rugged. And the Bantam is built using patented circuitry with safety being a priority. The closed front design and remote handheld data collection exceeds the minimum safety require-ments when in operation. Choice of Accuracy Class

Bantam Lite is the next generation portable closed-link or open-link meter test kit. The solution offers the required performance to accurately test a wide range of single and polyphase billing meters in accordance with the ANSI meter test requirements. The closed-link design provides 3 isolated 30 Amp output channels. Each channel allows for independent testing of meter elements without the need of re-wiring the test configuration. A simple onboard routing switch provides the tester maximum flexibility for enabling or disabling any one of the outputs channels. In addition to closed-link testing the Bantam Lite can output 90 Amps in open-link testing with the addition of the open-link test harness, P/N 196118.

Improve Meter Test Integrity

The accuracy of Bantam Lite is maintained using a choice of an embedded Radian RD-20 or RD-21 Reference Standard. Select the Standard that meets your budget and provides the accuracy necessary to adequately test the Energy meter workload.

For added confidence, and before transportingBantam Lite on-site, using the 196115 optional cable, the test kit can be easily connected to an external cross check Radian Reference standard. Using the supplied handheld com-parator you can quickly and automatically determine if Bantam Lite is functioning cor-rectly. This convenient cross check process is simple to operate and takes less than 5 minutes to run.

The Bantam Lite comparator/controller automates meter test calculations to help improve test efficiency, maintain measurement repeatability and record and store test data.

Bantam allows the user to maintain a released version of test procedures for any specific meter manufacturer, Model or Meter Form. Using the supplied RB-10-Link software installed on a remote PC, not only can you back-up the stored test data, but also develop or edit meter test procedures and later transfer to one or more Bantam Lite.

Automated Meter Test Process

Centralize test procedures as well as measurement records are easy to manage with the Bantam solution. With the supplied software an appointed authority within your organization is given responsibility for creating/editing and distributing meter test procedures to test systems in the field.
