Mudslides, floods are just few of ways nature strikes on a daily basis, leaving behind destructions and heartaches. People have learned to prepare for the possibility of these calamities, but no amount of preparation can lessen the impact that natural disasters have on every aspect of society. The emotional toll of natural disasters is much more devastating. The death of a loved one may be the worst-case scenario but it’s not the only lasting emotional effect victims experience .Whole communities may be displaced, separating friends and neighbours; victims face anxiety and depression as they wonder if it could happen again. In extreme cases, they may experience post-traumatic stress disorder. Natural disasters can thrust families into a situation where they must do without modern conveniences like electric and running water. They may not be able to get to town to buy necessities and have to rely on what they have stocked up. B. what is the challenges on our part? Preventing, preparing for, and recovering from disasters and emergencies has become a priority for everyone. And to ensure that appropriate, procedure, and resources are in place to provide prompt effective assistance to disaster victims, thus facilitating relief measures and rehabilitation of services. It includes all of the activities that need to be carried out prior to a disaster to ensure that disaster response activities run as smoothly as possible. Floods make an enormous impact on the environment and society. Floods destroydrainage systems in cities, causing raw sewage to spill out into bodies of water. Also,in cases of severe floods, homes and even buildings can be significantly damagedand even destroyed. This can lead to catastrophic effects on the environment as

many toxic materials can be released into the rivers, lakes, bays, and ocean, killingmaritime life. Floods may also cause a millions of damage to a city, both evictingpeople from their homes and ruining business .Floods cause significant amounts of erosion to coasts, leading to more frequent flooding if not repaired.

 As communication links and infrastructure such as power plants, roads and bridgesare damaged and disrupted, economic activities come to a standstill, resulting indislocation and the dysfunction of normal life for a period much beyond the durationof the flooding. Similarly, the direct effect on production assets be it in agriculture or industry, can inhibit regularly activity and lead to loss of livelihoods. The spill over effects of the loss of livelihoods can be felt in business and commercial activitieseven in adjacent non-flooded areas.
