What is Harris Academy Riverside ?

The works at Riverside include Construction of a 4

storey secondary school and a two storey Sports Hall

together with three hard courts, a grass sports field,

soft and hard land scaping and parking for the school

staff.

The construction is to be :

• Steel frame to both buildings

• Brickwork and insulated render to the main building

• Brickwork and insulated cladding to the sports hall

• Disabled lifts to both buildings

• Sports hall for school and external hire uses.

• Solar rooftop panels .

• Hall and dining facilities for school and external

use.

• Building is designed to meet BREEAM ’Very Good’

accreditation.

Planned Works Early works (Jan 2018 - March 2018)

• Removal of existing foundations and ground bearing slabs,

crushing and placing as a stability matt for the piling rigs.

• Remediation of the existing site foot print.

• Reduction of site to formation level .

We will work to minimise the effects of noise, light and air pollution. We will reduce waste, reuse and recycle materials where this has been identified as being possible.

Our site will be kept clean and in good working order. We will control dust and dirt from our construction operations so that we minimise the impact on the local

surrounding homes.

Accountable

To demonstrate our commitment to the Considerate Constructors Scheme we will display their poster in a public place.

Security

All our personnel will be readily

identifiable. The site will be secured at the

close of each working day.

We will provide you with regular updates on our progress but if

you have any concerns you can contact our Site Manager on 07800

Responsible

Everyone working on our sites receives an induction to help them

understand what is expected while they are working on our site and

how they can help maintain the standards set out in this code.

We will treat all people with respect and our team will behave in a

professional way.

much needed new Teaching facility to Purfleet and we want to

keep you informed and involved every step of the way!
