Background

KCFC was officially launched on 24 May 2006 with the following objectives: • To increase access to sports and leisure opportunities for the

inhabitants of Kilbirnie and the surrounding areas;

• To develop a player pathway for local sport and leisure, thereby encouraging a more positive and healthy lifestyle for today's society; and

• To develop social education programs that reflect the principles and policies of the club, to assist in building a safe and strong community.

Key milestones to date: • Quality Mark – Development Level – November 2006;

• Club website developed – January 2007;

• Compound/Portable goals installed – September 2008;

• Youth section (8 teams) and Girls section covering up to under 13 age group;

• Links to Adult game

– Over 35s / Over 55s;

– Amateurs – Kilbirnie AFC;

– Juniors – Kilbirnie Ladeside FC;
