RI Market Security Market Security is one of a number of applications available via Risk Intelligence Central which is Willis Towers Watsons’ latest offering in client facing technology. Our vision is to create a series of market-leading risk management applications, using the latest technology, providing our clients with a one-stop digital experience, so they can make more informed decisions based on fact, rather than perception. The Market Security application allows you to view carriers that you have an interest in, view their current market rating, their financials and also, in limited regions, their licensing. It provides a collaborative space where documents can be shared and where reports can be generated.



Logging In To access Market Security, you will first need to login to OnePlace. You will have received a Welcome email from your Willis Towers Watson service team, inviting you to OnePlace and Risk Intelligence Market Security. Follow the link within the email to go to OnePlace: http://willistowerswatson.com/oneplace. When logging on to the application for the first time you will need to enable your account. To do this, click the New User? Enable Account button.

The following screen will ask you to enter your company email address and click submit.

Willis Towers Watson will then email you with a link with instructions to set your own password.

Once you have opened the email, click on the Complete your password request link.

This will take you back to the OnePlace site and allow you to set and confirm your password. You will receive an email to complete the process.

Upon first login to OnePlace, you will be provided with the Terms and Conditions of use for the website. You will need to accept the Terms of Use in order to continue. You will then be taken to the OnePlace home page. At the top right of the screen you will see four icons. From here you can manage your OnePlace Account and personalize the screen layout; view your App list and access the App Catalogue; see any application alerts and view your user profile.



To access the Market Security App click on the My App List icon, which appears as a small square containing nine dots, and enter the App Catalogue where you will find the list of Apps available on OnePlace. These Applications are purpose-built, specially designed for our various clients’ business demands. To subscribe to Risk Intelligence Market Security, click on its icon in the Apps list, and then click the Add to my App list button.

Upon first login, you will be required to accept the Terms of Use of the Market Security app before continuing – please read through these carefully and then check the box to agree before clicking ‘I Accept’.

NOTE: Please contact your Account Manager if you require further clarification of the terms of use. After you have accessed the application for the first time, it will be shown as a recently used app within the My App List section.



Home Page

At the top left of the Home Page you will see the Navigation Bar, which you can use to access the Carrier Search, Notifications, Client Documents and Help functions. On the right hand side you will see your ten most Recently Viewed Carriers. To appear in this list a carrier has to be specifically viewed from within the Carrier Search results. This list is also available from all other pages as a drop down at the top of the screen

For any questions or queries regarding Market Security, we recommend that you contact your Account Manager. Queries relating to the application itself should be directed to the Support link which is available in the footer at the bottom of the screen.

At the bottom of the screen the What's New section shows changes to carrier details, ratings changes and any added documents. You will only be able to view changes to carriers that have been assigned to your Client Profile. You can also request for What’s New updates to be emailed to you on a daily or weekly basis, by using the Notifications function.



At the bottom of each page the Market Security Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and associated Disclaimers are displayed, along with the OnePlace “Support” link.

NOTE: Rating agency information is only available to you as a client of Willis Towers Watson and is not for onwards dissemination, and is subject to strict terms and conditions which you must comply with. Please read carefully through the Terms of Use, which include the rating agencies’ terms, conditions and disclaimers, to ensure you have understood the terms and restrictions around usage of rating agency data and Willis Towers Watson data. Please also read through the disclaimers of the rating agencies and Willis Towers Watson which can also be found on materials which are available to you as the client via the Market Security Application. If you do not agree to be bound by the Terms of Use or disclaimers, you should cease using the Market Security Application and all rating agency materials immediately.



Carrier Search Search Criteria

You can access the Carrier Search function from the Navigation Bar on the left hand side of the screen.

The Carrier search screen will be displayed. At the top of the Search Criteria, your client name will be shown.

The Search Results are at the bottom of the screen and will show any default carriers that have been associated with your client profile.

NOTE: To add or remove default carriers contact your Account Manager.



Within the Search Criteria you can search by carrier Legal Name, Code, Country/State, Ownership, Company Type, Rating or License.

You can refine the search by using the various drop downs available. Searches by name will also return previous and short names.

This is indicated by a ‘P’ or an ‘S’ in the ‘Match Type’ column of the search results.

When all search criteria is entered click ‘Find’ or press enter.



Search Results

Carriers matching the search criteria will be returned in the Search Results, as below. The results are split into Company, Ratings and Financial Information (where available). These will show for all carriers matching the search criteria that have been associated with your client profile.

You can choose individual or multiple carriers from within the results by using the check box to the left of the carrier’s Legal Name, or you can use the tick box at the top of the list to ‘Select All’.

Any carriers selected from the Search Results list will be retained on screen while future searches are run, even if they do not meet the new search criteria. To clear the search results and the search criteria, click the “Reset” button.

The returned results can be sorted in ascending or descending order, appropriate to the column information type, by clicking on the relevant column headers.



Carrier Details To open the Carrier Details page click on the carriers Legal Name from within the Carrier Search results.

This will open the Summary Page of the Carrier Details section. Along with the summary page you can also view more detailed information on the carrier’s ‘Financials’, ‘Documents’ and ‘Licenses’ if available.

Summary Page

On the Summary Page, you will see general company information, including company type, contact details and location.

At the top of the Summary Page you have the option of adding a Client Reference field for a more familiar or internal reference. This can be used as search criteria by anyone with access to your Client site. You will also find the current ratings for this carrier from four ratings agencies: AM Best, Standard and Poor’s, Moody’s and Fitch, along with links to the rating definitions for each agency. Where they are available, the Summary Page of the Carrier Details will also display an overview of the carrier’s financial highlights and ratios. These can be seen in more detail on the Financials tab.



Using the links at the top right, this information can be exported to PDF or downloaded as an Excel spreadsheet.

Financials tab

When available, the Financials tab of Carrier details has links that show information on the carrier’s Balance Sheet Assets, Liabilities, Income Statement and Ratios.

The same links to export to PDF and Excel are available here as they are on the Summary page.

Documents tab

The Documents tab contains any documents that have been uploaded by Market Security for this carrier. The documents displayed here are grouped as Fact Sheets, Rating Rationale, Press Releases, FATCA Certificates or Other documentation. Documents on this tab can be viewed on screen, or you can combine selected documents into a single PDF by using the tick box on the left of the document’s title and clicking the “Export to PDF” button.



Licenses tab

Licenses are available for carriers licensed in North America. Licensing information is listed by State and is color coded by License Type Description with the key displayed on the right of the screen. This information is available to be exported to Excel or PDF using the links provided.

Clicking on the state will provide a link to the licensing authority for that state, and there is also a link back to the carrier search screen to find other carriers with the same License Type in that state.

At the bottom of the page there is a link to view licenses in Canada, as well as providing details for the Northern Mariana Islands.



Carrier Favorites The Carrier Favorites function provides client site users with the option of creating multiple carrier lists under particular Categories. These lists can then be used for Carrier Searches and setting up Email Notifications. In order to create a Carrier Favorites List, you will need to enter the Carrier Favorites Maintenance screen by using the link from within the Carrier Search page.

From the maintenance page you can create new Favorites lists, add to existing lists, edit the names of existing lists or group your Favorites lists into Categories.

To create a Favorites list, click the ‘New Favorite’ button. You will be prompted to enter a unique name for the new list and click ‘Save’ to confirm.



The new item will now be displayed at the bottom of the screen and in the drop down along with all other Favorites available to you:

To edit an existing favorite, select the favorite from the list and click ‘Edit’.

To add carriers to a Carrier Favorites List, select the list from the dropdown and click ‘Add Carriers’.

This will take you back to the Carrier Search screen. From here complete your carrier search and select the carriers you wish to add to the list using the check box. Once you have selected your desired carriers, click ‘Carrier Favorites’.



You will be prompted to create a new list or add the carriers to an existing list:

To create a new Favorites List, select ‘Create New’ and enter a unique name for the list and click ‘Save’. You can also add your selected carriers to an existing list by choosing the ‘Select from Existing’ option. This will open a drop down of available Favorites lists to which you may add the carriers.

NOTE: These Favorites lists are only available to you as an individual, so can be changed as often as you wish. Should you require a Carrier Favorites List to be available to everyone within your organization, please contact your Account Manager.



Notifications If you wish to be advised of rating changes for a specific carrier, you can create or configure notifications from three areas:

1. Firstly, from the Carrier Search screen you can check the tick box of the carrier(s) that you wish to receive notifications on, and then click on the ‘Use in Email Notification’ link at the top left of the search results:

2. You can also click onto a carrier to enter the Carrier Details page. From here there is a ‘Use Email Notification’ link in the top right of the screen which will add the carrier to your Notifications list:

3. Finally, there is a Notifications link within the Navigation Bar. Clicking this will take you directly to the Notifications Page from where you can maintain existing notification alerts.



From this page, you will be able to edit your carrier notifications list for ratings changes, as well as set up a daily or weekly email for the “What’s New Notification” alert. To set up your desired alerts tick the ‘Email Alerts’ boxes as shown below.



Reports Once a carrier search is complete, you will have the option to use the ‘Download’, ‘Use in Reports’ and ‘FATCA Compliance’ functions for any carriers selected within the Search Results table.

Please note that the Use in Email Notification and Carrier Favorites options are covered in the Notifications and Carrier Favorites sections of this guide.

Download

Within the Download drop-down, you will be given a choice between a PDF, Excel or Factsheet report from the carriers selected in the Search Results table.

You can select your required carriers by checking the tick box at the left of the carrier name or by choosing ‘Select All’ at the top of the results table. When choosing the Factsheet download, you will be sent an email containing the Factsheets for each carrier selected combined into a single PDF.



Please note that a maximum of 50 Carriers can be selected for a Factsheet download. This, and any other limitation on this application, will be explained within a pop-up at the point of selection.

Use in Reports

By clicking Use in Reports you will be taken to the Client Reports screen. Form here you will be able to access report types in three different formats for carriers that have been selected from the Carrier Search results table.

These report types are Ratings Report, Financial Report and Ratings Movements Report. The Ratings Report and Ratings Movement Report will require a date range to be selected and can be downloaded as a PDF including all the Rating Agencies:

Enter the range required and click ‘Run Report’. In comparison, the Financial Report will offer a choice of ‘Full Year’ or ‘Last Quarter’ reports. The Last Quarter option is available for US Carriers only, and you will be able to compare this with the Previous and Corresponding Quarters.

NOTE: These reports will be emailed to you if you choose to download an excessive number of carriers.



FATCA Compliance Report

Finally, the FATCA Compliance Report provides an export to Excel detailing the compliance status of the carriers you have selected from the Search Results.

After clicking the FATCA Compliance Report link, you will see the below pop up before receiving the Excel export:

Client Documents

For the Client Documents function, you will need to use the ‘Print Details’ option from the Carrier Search results page.

Print Details groups together the financial information of carriers selected by you with the tick box on the left of the carrier legal name (where this information is available).

Should you select 10 or less carriers you will receive a PDF document of this, any more (up to a maximum of 50) will be placed into the Client Documents page, which can be accessed via the Navigation Bar on the left hand side of the screen.

Here you will see the Batch Print Document page. This will show the status of your Print Details document download. Once this is completed, click on the Document name to view your download.

Should you perform another Print Details download of 10 or more carriers, this will overwrite the most recently downloaded document in the Client Documents page.
