Increased Transmission Risk due to lack of Social Distancing. Notably via: ❖ The inability of people to Socially Distance, due to:
o Width of paths o Number of people o Flow of pedestrians o Grouping / gatherings at certain times (i.e. Queues; Shows) o Proximity of amenities (i.e. seating too close together)
❖ The failure of people to follow Social Distancing guidelines o Including Visitors or Staff
❖ Unclear routing or information regarding intended direction of travel, causing close contact on narrow paths, in buildings, etc.
Includes Assessment of:
▪ 2.1 Specified Paths, Routes, & Areas (See below) ▪ 2.2 Viewing Platforms & Restricted Access (See below)
Note: The ability to Socially Distance and related measures are also included in Sections -
▪ 3.0 Groups & Gatherings ▪ 5.0 Catering Provision ▪ 6.0 Contact with Staff
4 5 20
Control Measures:
• Walkways, Routes, & Areas of the park inspected & measured o All pedestrian routes – from Car Park & around each area of the park o Width of walking routes & areas confirmed to give users the ability to Socially
Distance per guidelines (2m at time of inspection) o Any areas / routes where insufficient space for Social Distancing was measured,
are either altered, made mandatory one-way, or closed
• Overall Flow of Visitors designed & implemented o Single direction of flow pedestrian route designed & mapped over entire park o All visitors provided with information sheet on purchase of tickets (Provided as
pdf file with online tickets & printed available to pick up on entry) o Information sheet provides a park map with arrows, detailing pedestrian flow o Along with mandatory one-way areas, the overall flow design makes the
majority of pedestrians move in the same direction, minimising potential for close contact and passing closely
• The scale of the park grounds – approx. 160 hectares - & the amount of open / wide areas and routes provides sufficient Social Distancing space
• Visitor Number restrictions: o Number of visitors on a given day shall be restricted, in line with BIAZA &
governmental guidance o Measured via number of persons per Hectare, changing based on Phase o Numbers limited via ticket sales – set number available
• Per Section 3.0, Groups & Gatherings have been reviewed & addressed
• Signage & Visitor Information o Reminder Signage (Observe Social Distancing) throughout the park o Signage at all one-way routes o Information sheet provided to visitors – along with park website – asks for
visitors to follow all Social Distancing guidelines Expected Behaviours:
• Visitors are expected to follow Social Distancing guidelines o If grouping is observed by Staff, they may ask people to move apart o Staff to report any recurring grouping / busy areas to management
• Regular management meetings to review any observations of grouping / busy pedestrian areas o If / where identified, such areas to be addressed with appropriate action
(e.g. closure, signage, physical alteration, etc.)
