Rio Arriba 4-H Presents: Tell Us About it Tuesdays! Discovering Wildlife in New Mexico This project educates youth on wildlife management including life zones, pollution, predators, game, and hunting. Some of the Project Activities include: • Learning about one of New Mexico’s extinct or near-extinct animals. • Determine the Life Zone you live in, making a list of plants and animals in the zone. • Enroll in a Hunter Safety Education Course offered by NM Game and Fish. • Volunteer to clean a wildlife habitat like a forest, lake, or BLM or • Give a prepared speech or demonstration on big game to your club or school. • Exhibit posters at county, regional or state fairs.
