Discovering Wildlife in New Mexico This project educates youth on wildlife management including life zones,

pollution, predators, game, and hunting.

Some of the Project Activities include: • Learning about one of New Mexico’s extinct or near-extinct animals.

• Determine the Life Zone you live in, making a list of plants and animals in the zone.• Enroll in a Hunter Safety Education Course offered by NM Game and Fish.

• Volunteer to clean a wildlife habitat like a forest, lake, or BLM or• Give a prepared speech or demonstration on big game to your club or school.

• Exhibit posters at county, regional or state fairs.
