Dr. Wilson will begin seeing patients in late August 2019. She’ll split her time between the Mount Ayr Medical Clinic and CHI Health Clinics in Corning, Lenox, and Bedford. “I’m so excited to be coming home,” said Dr. Wilson. A native of Bedford, she and her family will be mov- ing back to the area in July. Dr. Wilson earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, NE, and has been in Utah for the past several years. “I love pediatrics because it allows me to interact with families and get to know the kids over time. Early childhood development is one of my favorite things. I also just love kids!” Ringgold County Hospital CEO Gor- don Winkler couldn’t be happier. “We have an incredible group of medical professionals on staff, and Dr. Wilson really helps round out the team. She brings an expertise in pediatrics that complements our family practitioners.” Lisa Wolfe, President of CHI Health Mercy Corning agrees. “Hav- ing Dr. Wilson in our clinics every week al- lows us to provide even higher quality care for our families. With Dr. Wilson on staff, parents and children won’t have to travel to see a pediat- ric specialist.” Mary Flury from Ce- dar Rapids and Kayla Beckerdite of Des Moines, Red Cross employees, help the Afton Volunteer Fire Department check and replace smoke alarms in Afton homes on May 4th. Mid afternoon they stopped at the Trul- linger home on W. Polk where they checked some alarms and re- placed batteries. If you weren't home, you missed a chance to get new smoke alarms with 10-year batteries. Even if your batteries are good, smoke alarms should be replaced every ten years.
