The curved Maryland jaw increases visibility of the instrument tip and enables grasping of fine structures.

The histology image shows the fused lumen of a porcine artery. Through the delivery of controlled bipolar energy, the collagen is reconstituted from two walls into a single structure. The precision of this energy delivery limits thermal spread to less than one millimeter, minimizing tissue damage.
