What is the Right Care Initiative?

Goal: Reduce morbidity and mortality among California’s 15 million commercial managed care enrollees

Focus Areas:1. Cardiovascular disease2. Diabetes3. Hospital acquired infections

Right Care Goals for San Diego • 70% of hypertensive

patients with blood pressure <140/90 mmHg

• 70% of patients with cardiovascular conditions with LDL-C<100 mg/dL

• 81% of diabetic patients with HbA1c < 9

• 52% of diabetic patients with LDL-C<100 mg/dL
