The RHIB variant of the C-AT intercom system is tailored to the operational requirements and

environment of a small boat crew and supporting land warriors.

Distinguishing characteristics of the AMCVIS/RHIB intercom system:

“Party-line” intercom for Commander, Driver, Gunner, and two additional RHIB crew members

or “customers.”

Interface to two radios with all crew members. Crew able to select to monitor one or both

radios and independently set listening levels of radios and intercom.

All crew members are able to independently select between transmit radios.

The radios can be connected to one another, permitting dismounted personnel access to the

second radio (i.e.: multi-band, tactical radio (PRC-117) to an over-the-horizon TACSAT

transceiver (PSC-5D) or an HF radio (PRC-150).

Crewman interface (ICU) to intercom and radio is a small, rugged, clip-on assembly with volume

controls, intercom P-T-T, radio P-T-T, and radio select, and TJ-101 headset jack. Wearable design

permits easy-of-access and user mobility.

The footprint of a RHIB intercom/radio controller (IMU) is only 11.5” (L) x 1.8” (H) x 5.9” (D) . All connectors are water-proof.

Compatible with electret condenser or dynamic microphones.
