RedesignThis project funded by

The Problems• Since Fall 2001, over 50% of students enrolled in
DWRI 0093 have not succeeded (A, B, C)• Since Fall 2001, only 45% of all DCCCD students
enrolled in DWRI 0093 succeeded (A,B, C)• Diverse student body makes it difficult to address
individual needs• Considerable time is spent teaching and re-
teaching basic skills• Instruction is inconsistent across sections• High numbers of students repeat 0091 and 0093
Some Statistics• 84% DWRI retention rate. Our peers ranged
from 76% to 83%. • 57% enrollee success rate (includes drops),
while peers raged from 51% to 73% • For completer success rate (excludes drops),
Richland had a 68% success rate and peers ranged from 67% to 89%.
• Looking at all NCCBP participants, Richland scored at the 37th percentile for retention, 15th percentile for enrollee success, and 16th percentile for completer success. (2006 NCCBP)
