Friction

Heat

Corrosion

Debris

Provides a barrier between engine components.

Carry unwanted heat away from certain areas of the engine.

Additives will reduce corrosion forming in the system.

Takes debris to the filters or to MCD’s.

Oil Sampling

• Regular sampling shows:

• Moisture – Can lead to an increase in acidity and also affect the viscosity.

• Debris - Particles from component breakdown and wear or dirt.

• Viscosity – Show increase in harmful contaminants, Debris or Water, Cross Contamination.

• Total Acid Number – Symptom of other issues, • Increases can lead to varnishing.

• Oxidation – Chemical reaction to heat. Can cause increase in acidity.

Test and Filter New Oil BEFORE adding to a system.

Sample and test at regular intervals.

Carry out regular on-line flushing and purification.

Debris Removal using:Fine FiltrationElectrostatic Cleaner

Moisture Removal using:Vacuum De-HydrationCentrifugal Separator

Acid Removal using:Fullers EarthSolvent/Water Washing

Carry out regular thermal imaging to detect system ‘hot spots’.

Ensure filters and breathers are regularly cleaned or replaced.
