This Vietnam tour takes you to the most isolated and beautiful area to the far North of Vietnam where you can admire the great nature with rice terraces, breathtaking passes and beautiful lakes. Mostly untouched by tourists, your journey begins from Mu Cang Chai known for amazing rice terraces and Bac Ha with its weekly market of many hill tribes. Drive up to discover Ha Giang with karst formations, meandering rivers, dense forests and stilt houses with thatched roofs and famous Ma Pi Leng pass which is known as 'Heaven's Pass'. Finally, visit Ba Be Lake, largest natural lake in Vietnam. You will also have intimate memory as chances of meeting hospitable hill tribe people during your trip. HIGHLIGHTS

TOUR PROGRAM:
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Welcomed on arrival at Noi Bai airport by Intimate Asia tour guide, and then you will be transferred by private vehicle to your hotel in town. Afternoon visit the 11th Century Quan Thanh Temple and visit Temple of Literature -‐ Vietnam's first university, then explore local life in Ancient Quarter by a cyclo tour. Overnight night in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi -‐ Duong Lam Village – Nghia Lo
Morning drive to visit Duong Lam ancient village, known as a museum of surviving literate with ancient houses aged up to 400 years old. Visit Mong Phu temple, Mia pagoda and enjoy a home-‐hosted lunch at an ancient house. After lunch, drive to Nghia Lo. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of mountain area along the way. On the way, stop to visit Thanh Son tea plantation, the villages of Thai and Mong people along the way before arriving to Nghia Lo. Overnight in Nghia Lo (B, L, D).
Day 3: Nghia Lo – Mu Cang Chai
Today we take a long but beautiful drive to Mu Cang Chai and spend you most time for photos taking at amazing rice terrace in Mu Cang Chai. Along the way, enjoy the great scenery of Ba Nha rice terrace field with many photo moments and spectacular view of Hoang Lien Son Mountain range at Than Uyen. Overnight in Mu Cang Chai (B, L, D).
Day 4: Mu Cang Chai – Sapa
Morning depart for Sapa. Drive via Than Uyen and Tan Uyen of Lai Chau province. Then you will drive over breath-‐ taking O Qui Ho pass.
Arrive in Sapa at noon. Check in hotel and relax. Afternoon explore Sapa town and Ham Rong Mountain. Overnight in Sapa (B, L, D)
Day 5: Sapa – Bac Ha
Breakfast at hotel and have a nice trekking to Lao Chai and Ta Van village where inhabited by the Hmong, Dao and Dzay ethnic people. Drive back Sapa town for lunch and check out hotel. Then drive to Bac Ha for overnight. Free time to strolling around Bac Ha town. Overnight in Bac Ha (B, L, D).
Day 6: Bac Ha – Ha Giang
Today depart Bac Ha for Ha Giang, you will take very interesting off-‐ the-‐ beaten-‐ path journey from Bac Ha to Xin Man. The scenery is outstanding and you will almost not see other travellers on the way. Then drive to Hoang Su Phi, where you will have a chance to admire one of the greatest terrace rice fields in Vietnam. Arrive to Ha Giang in the late afternoon. Check in hotel and overnight in Ha Giang (B, L, D).
Day 7: Ha Giang – Dong Van
After breakfast, drive to Dong Van Rocky Plateau, situated at 1025m above the sea level and inhabited by H’mong and Tay ethnic groups. Drive over Quan Ba Heaven Gate to Yen Minh with spectacular

scenery along the way. Before arrive in Dong Van, you will have a walk to visit Pho Bang, called by tourists “the town falling into oblivion” and home to the Hoa and H’Mong ethnic people. The locals keep to their laidback lifestyle in the clay houses decorated with a pair of couplets written in Chinese scripts with wishes of good luck and prosperity. Continue to visit the Palace of H’Mong King Vuong Chi Sinh built in 1914 and now a symbol of the glorious past of the H’mong people. Overnight in Dong Van (B, L, D).
Day 8: Dong Van – Cao Bang
Morning, visit Dong Van local market then we depart to Cao Bang via Meo Vac. A hike down to Meo Vac valley, a beautiful valley made of picturesque terraced rice fields, winding rivers and peaceful villages nestled at foot of the hills. We continue the journey to Bao Lac crossing the Ma Pi Leng Pass; admire an amazing picture with mountain shrouded in cloud and poetic Nho Que river winding off from a distance like a silk ribbon. A place where heaven and earth meet. Overnight in Cao Bang (B, L, D).
Day 9: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Cao Bang
Today drive to Ban Gioc waterfall, the most tranquil waterfall in Vietnam via the scenic pass of Ma Phuc. After having great time to visit and taking picture at Ban Gioc, transfer to Nguom Ngao Grotto. Take a short trek to visit Nguom Ngao Grotto, one of the nicest grottoes in the North-‐East of Vietnam. Then we drive back to Cao Bang. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Cao Bang (B, L, D).
Day 10: Cao Bang – Ba Be
This morning we will drive to Ba Be, a regional famous for its largest natural lake in Vietnam. Arrive in Ba Be National Park, embark on 2 hour boat trip to visit the beautiful lake, the surrounding mountains are covered with lush vegetation, home to diverse flora and fauna. Then cruise towards the scenic Dau Dang waterfall and the mysterious Puong Grotto, inhabited by thousands of bat. Finally, settle in a homestay at Tay village, walking around village and prepare dinner with local family. Overnight homestay in Pac Ngoi village (B, L, D).
Day 11: Ba Be -‐ Hanoi
In the morning, we will have some free time to wander around the village before driving back to Hanoi. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi (B,L)
Day 12: Hanoi – Departure.
At leisure until transfer to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight. Trip ends. (B)
