Protect-R Overview

The Protect-R solution offers an integrated

detection solution combining:

• Radar & AIS for long/medium range detection

• Camera for analysis of medium/short range targets

The software can access the

raw digital data of the Radar

directly through Ethernet

allowing full remote control

(Range, Gain, Filters) and full

picture quality without any

additional hardware.

The software processes the raw echo data

with its own proprietary high resolution ARPA

algorithm and post processing filters to

provide you the best detection system:

• Advanced Alarm Zone management

• Recording/Playback function

• Easy to use, install and maintain

• Very cost effective

Protect-R’s innovative chart

engine offers:

Full 3D chart engine

Extremely responsive and

smooth transitions

Seamless zoom at any range

(no limited range preset)

Advanced Layering Technology

(depth shading, PhotoFusion,

monitoring areas, etc…)

Protect-R uses exclusively

Mapmedia .mm3d charts

Mapmedia sources data from

multiple providers (NOAA,

Jeppesen, Navionics,

Hydrographic Offices) to

compile .mm3d chart

available in Raster or Vector

In the USA, Mapmedia

converts NOAA Vector S57

(ENC) and NOAA Raster (RNC)

in mm3d format and provides

them for free for any

Protect-R user.

Chart Engine

Protect-R VTS accesses the raw

radar echo information and

handles the radar post processing

(Echo Stretch, Echo Trail, Echo

Averaging)

ARPA Calculation is handled

directly inside Protect-R using an

innovative “Plot” concept

Unlimited ARPA Acquisition and

Exclusion areas allowing to define

precisely the areas to be

monitored

ARPA interpolation Best in class Furuno

Radar integration with:

NavNet UHF DRS (up

to 25Kw) and

FAR2XX7

FAR2XX7 Commercial

Series Radar on X or

S Band

No “Radar Processor”

box needed (direct

connection)

Full Radar display

and control directly

from the software

Radar Integration

Compatible with AXIS IP Cameras and AXIS IP

Video Encoders

Thermal camera:

Visualize the camera field of view directly

on the chart

Absolute PTZ control allows to pan/tilt the

camera to a specific chart location (right

click on the chart: “Move Camera Here”)

Track any object on the chart or radar

(ARPA, AIS, Chart Object, Marks…)

Adjust Camera parameters directly from

Protect-R

Camera Integration

Zone Monitoring Unlimited Zone monitoring (Area and Circles)

Powerful layer management allows to show/hide and

categorize the various areas for a clutter free display

Powerful, yet simple “rules”

definition:

• Target enter, exit, stop or

restart in area(s)

• Trigger notification or open an

external script or application

when a target breaks a rule

• Log with acknowledgment

keep track of all the

notifications

Record & Replay

User Friendly “timeline”

providing multiple

playback speeds,

“scrubbing” and quick

access to specific date

Easy to Backup

Integrated recording and playback feature

Record: Radar Picture, Camera, Audio (4 channels),

Sensor (wind, pressure) and Targets

Dedicated “Monitoring” WorkSpace for real time data

and “Analyze” WorkSpace for playback

DRS (12KW or 25KW) or FAR2XX7 Radar connection

Ethernet Connection with FA30 (AIS)

Native Compatibility AXIS IP Cameras and encoders

Weather (Wind, Pressure, Waves etc.) and Tides Forecast

Raster and/or Vector Nautical Charts

High Resolution Satellite Images
