RIBA Client & Architect with Stephen Hodder MBE + Guests Wednesday 23rd November 17:30 - 20:00 Roberts Limbrick The Carriage Building Gloucester GL1 1DG Free for RIBA Members & CIOB Members http://RIBAClientArchitect.eventbrite.com This special event at Gloucester will present the findings captured in phase two of the RIBA for Clients programme, being one of the first events in the country to discuss the paper - after the soft launch at Grand Designs Live and MIPIM in October. Stephen Hodder MBE will be joined by CIOB Principal Policy and Public Affairs Officer, Eddie Tuttle, who is to provide an insight into the broader construction industries perspective of working with architects. The CIOB endorsed the publication of Client & Architects, with Chris Blythe writing a personal letter of support outlining the importance of strong relationships within the construction industry. We are also delighted to be joined by Laura Haynes of Merlin Housing Association, who recently won the Client of the Year and Value Award at the Constructing Excellence Awards 2016. Laura is to provide an insight into Merlin Housing Associations work, and their experience of working with architects, highlighting what value they perceive architects bring to the team. This is due to be a fantastic event for built environment professionals, with Gloucestershire being one of the first regions to hear about the work the RIBA are undertaking to support the essential architect-client relationship, the national perspective from the CIOB and the more local experiences from the Client of the Year 2016. This event is critical as part of Architects ongoing CPD, and as such is likely to sell out. Booking is essential, please book early so not to be disappointed. The event is kindly sponsored by Desso and the RIBA Local Initiative Fund, and as such is free to RIBA Architects and CIOB Members. sponsored by developing the essential relationship Client & Architect
