RHS Band Fundamentals Test 2018-2017 Testing begins the week of October 22nd and will be recorded. This test is to hear the quality of your playing at this time individual and determine chair placement. Brass & Woodwinds: Play the given Etude, one major scale in quarter & eighths, and the chromatic scale listed at a controlled tempo/rhythm. Be sure to use vibrato if it is applicable to your instrument (flute, brass, sax) Percussion: play both the snare and mallet etude provided, one major scale listed and tune one pitch on the timpani. You will be graded on MSBOA festival standards of tone, intonation, rhythm, technique & interpretation. SCALES ARE LISTED WITH YOUR STARTING NOTE. NOT CONCERT PITCH. RHS Band Fundamentals Test 2018-2017

Testing begins the week of October 22nd and will be recorded. This test is to hear the quality of your playing at this time individual and determine chair placement.
