In one team:business experience, design and

management of the construction site, systematization processes and innovation.The team counts 152 plants built and 479

designed all over the world.

Phytoremediation

RECONSTRUCTION OF WETLANDS They are natural systems of treatment of

sewage coming from urban areas or the majority of industrial plants; this systems exploit the interactions between plants, gravel, different kind of soils, bacteria and microalgae.

INDUSTRIES PROCESSING PLANTS PRODUCTS: WINE, OIL, ETC.

INDUSTRIES THAT PRODUCE LIQUID WASTE: Galvanic and hydrocarbons, spinning mills, etc.

Phytoremediation – WetlandsIt's perfect for:

Implementation of a phytoremediation system in a farm of pigs (600 units), in the province of Bolivar, Ecuador.The system has a dimension of 400 m2, and is composed by: 2 pools of sedimentation (primary and secondary), 1 pond that houses the filter, 3 pools of phytoremediation.

Phytoremediation system (240 hectares), treating 47000 m³ of waste waters by day, coming from an oil refinery; the water at the exit of the system is reused for irrigation.

ANAEROBIC DIGESTION Also called biomethanisation, is

the biochemical decomposition of complex organic matter by different activities performed by bacteria, in the absence of oxygen.

The two main products are biogas (methane) and a mixture of biomass and bacteria, that can be used as a fertilizer.

Page 20: Rhea International Team

Energetic autonomy in a context of increased cost of fossil energy;

Reduction in the purchase of fertilizer through the valorisation of produced biomass;

Transformation of manure in organic fertilizer, more easily assimilated by plants, with reduction of odors and disease-causing agents.

Processing of organic waste at competitive prices; more than 50% of garbage is organic and biodegradable.

Reduction of the pollution in the environment.

SEPARATION OF THE SOLID PHASE FROM THE LIQUID THROUGH PERCOLATION

- SOLID (10%) used as fertilizer

- LIQUID (90%): NH3 for agronomic use (to be buried in low depth to avoid the release of N2)
