    Function and Options

This is a combination of motion sensor and RF wireless transmission. The motion detected by the master unit HC028V/RF can pass onto other pre-defined individuals (the slave units) though RF transmission. Thanks to fixed address coding technology, it is easy to set up transmission groups. Up to 16 different groups can be created by using the rotary coding switch. The transmission can reach 30 meters

indoor and 100 meters in the open area. Digital receiving and transmitting method, high anti-interference capability. With 1-10V output control signal signal, it can switch on/off and dim any brand of 1-10V analogue diming ballast and driver. Optional transmission frequency of 433/868/315/915 MHz, thanks to FSK technology.

Even in case, the slave (HC024RF) fails to receive the dimming signal from the master(HC028V/RF), it will also dim to pre-defined stand-by level after a 30min time delay, and eventually switch off after the stand-by period.

With sufficient nature light, the sensor is not triggered by motion.

With insufficient nature light, the sensor is triggered by motion, the master switches on all salves by RF signal.

After the hold-time, the whole group of lamps dim to pre-defined dimming level when no movement detected.

The whole group of lamps switches off automatically after the stand-by period.

This is advanced combination of HC028V/RF (RF transmitter with motion sensor) + RF receiver, dimming function. This wireless transmission system is the perfect solution for retrofit or carpark projects, easy installation and free of wiring. With fixed address coding system, by “rotary coding switch” method, selected and directional communication can be easily setup. Once there is motion detected, the master can trigger unlimited number of slaves as long as they are within the transmission range. The slave unit can respond to unlimited numbers of masters respectively.

With simple operation, rapidly turn off/on the master fixture 3 cycles within 3 sec. (the green LED on the sensor flashes and the fixture blinks 3 times to indicate the success of setup), lamp will be 100% on for 8 hours, and then automatically goes to sensor mode after 8 hours. Useful when sensor function is not needed in special occasion.

This 8H monual on feature can be cancelled by turn off/on the fixture 1 cycle within 1sec.

    HC028V/RFHC024RF (slave)4

While the 1st sensor detects motion on the 1st floor, it switches on 100% and sends signal to all slave units. All HC024RF on the 1st floor turn on 100% and the HC028V/RF on the 2nd floor goes to stand-by brightness.

The person walks to the 2nd floor, the 2nd HC028V/RF switches on 100%. All HC024RF on the 2nd floor turn on 100% and the HC028V/RF on the 3rd floor goes to stand-by brightness.

The person walks to the 3rd floor, the 3rd HC028V/RF switches on 100%. All HC024RF on the 3rd floor turn on 100% and the HC028V/RF on the 4th floor goes to stand-by brightness. Meanwhile, the sensors on the 1st floor dim to stand-by brightness.

The person walks to the 4th floor, the 4th HC028V/RF switches on 100%. All HC024RF on the 4th floor turn on 100% and the next HC028V/RF goes to stand-by brightness... Meanwhile, all sensors on the 1st floor goes off after stand-by period, and all sensors on the 2nd floor dim to stand-by brightness after hold time.

Typical application for the staircase and corridor:

With simple operation, rapidly turn off/on the masterfixture 2 cycles within 2 sec: a. The green LED on the sensor flashes slowly for 5 seconds, meanwhile the fixture blinks twice. b. The daylight sensor measures and remembers the surrounding lux for 1 sec. c. The fixture and green LED is on for 10s to indicate the success of learning.

This feature enables the fixture to function well in any real application circumstance, where the daylight penetrated into fixture may vary a lot.

    Ambient daylight threshold3

Designed in the software, the sensor switches on/off the load right on the zero-cross point, to ensure the min. current passing through the relay contact point, and enable the maxi. load and life-time of the relay.

    Zero-cross relay operation4

    * The latest surrounding lux value overwrites previous lux value learned.

    * Both the settings on DIP switch and the learned ambient lux threshold can overwrite each other. The latest action stays in validity.

Double L N terminal makes it easy for wire loop-in and loop-out, saves the cost of terminal block and assembly time.

Note: 1. Motion sensor overwrites daylight sensor, meaning the daylight sensor starts to check the ambient natural light only when the lamp is switched off (motion hold-time elapsed).

    Loop-in and loop-out5

    *

    2. 1-10V output on the master unit HC028V/RF is isolated, SELV output; while the 1-10V on HC024RF is non-isolated.

    RF Grouping (Max. 16 channels)

Using a screwdriver to adjust the rotary switch on both the master & slave unit, to keep them pointing at the same channel, the grouping is then automatically completed. 16 channels (max.16 groups) available for both the master & slave unit.

Thanks to fixed address coding system, the setup of communication channel and the definition of masters and slaves can be easily achieved by the rotary coding switch -- ( the transmitter unit is called “master ”, and the receiving unit called “slave” ).

    MasterSlave

    RF Grouping (max. 16 channels)

This sensor reserves the access of manual override function for end-users to switch on/off, or adjust the stand-by dimming level with the push-switch, which makes the product more user-friendly, and more options to fit for some extra-ordinary demands.

    * Short push (1s): Dim up/down the stand-by dimming level between 10% and 50%. Both the settings on DIP switch and manual override can overwrite each other, the latest action stays in validity. *If customers do not want to have this manual override function, we can just leave this “push” terminal alone , not connected to any wire.

    Manual override ( for HC028V/RF only ) 6

Using a screwdriver to point the arrow to the same position on the master unit and slave units.
