¿En qué consiste la Semiótica?
Semiótica visual: Es una parte de la
macrosemiótica del mundo natural.
Abarca el campo del análisis de las
imágenes, de los denominados “tex-
tos icónicos” que estén sustentados
en la especificidad bidimensional de
su significante.
¿A qué se denomina Semiótica Pla-
naria? ¿Por qué elemento funda-
mental se caracteriza?
Piense algunos ejemplos. Semiótica
Planaria: Se refiere a textos visuales
de significantes bidimensionales
con semejanza entre la imagen y el
objeto del mundo natural. Por eso se
habla de textos “visuales-icónicos-
planarios”.
Se caracteriza por la bidimensionali-
dad de sus significantes.
Ejemplo: Pictogramas usados para
señalizar. Relacionar el concepto de
Representación con el concepto de
evocación. Relacionar el concepto de
Representación y Semejanza.
¿Si no existe semejanza, hay repre-
sentación? ¿Porqué?
Proporcione algunos ejemplos.
Representación: Evoca en nuestra
mente semejanzas de algún objeto
captadas por nuestros sentidos. Es
una imagen que está en nuestra
mente en lugar del objeto transfor-
mada en un signo. No es necesario
que exista semejanza para que haya
representación.
¿Qué entiende por Carácter Provisio-
nal de la articulación entre expresión
y contenido?
Proporcione ejemplos. Carácter Pro-
visional: Las imágenes tienen senti-
dos diferentes en contextos diferen-
tes, hay elementos que nos remiten
a obtener significados distintos como
ser la ropa, objetos, las expresiones.
En diferentes momentos se capta
provisionalmente el sentido del texto.

recen así como dependientes del

guras icónicas o plásticas adquieren
su valor en función del cotexto y del

de su funcionamiento textual. Puede
realizarse a partir de cualquier co-
municación registrada dentro de un
determinado sistema de signos.
La coherencia en el caso de la
imagen, debe entenderse como un
elemento expresivo. Se refiere a la
distribución de la información visual
y al elemento del contenido. La
coherencia le permite al destinatario
del discurso visual poder actualizar
el significado del mismo.
¿La imagen como texto estético
Partiendo de Jackobson, se puede
distinguir 2 marcas que definirían la
presencia de lo estético?
Ambiguiedad: como violación de las
reglas de los códigos. Esta surge a
partir de la vinculación con el contex-
to. Autoreflexión: en la medida que
un texto llama la atención sobre su
propia organización semiótica. Ésta
se produce a partir de la vinculación
con la individualidad de la imagen.
Considera, entonces, que los Meca-
nismos Mentales que provocan la
sensación de belleza.
