The Distrital Folkloristic Band represents the Atlántico department

in Colombia

This is one Project of Barranquilla´s District and the Cultural and Tourism Institution of Ba-rranquilla

This important band in Barranquilla is cha-racter for a diversity of ages among its mem-bers. You can find in these group children, young people and adults. They are working for a great goal “ to play music and show the world the folklore and culture from Barranquilla´s city ” This are their dreams .

The institution likes to promotes our culture with younger’s and children´s community, for they take care the traditions. They are based on its culture and folkloristic national music.

Each member has the folkloric music inside their bloom.

The members first take a beginning course named seed-plot, where special teachers pre-pare the musicians. The training takes place in the National Institute of Commerce school.

Ayubi Diaz is one of their members. He plays bass drum and traveled with the band to Uni-te States and Europe on April in representa-tion of Colombia.

Our congratulations for these student who are doing a good didactic work.

In the Distrital School Jorge Isaacs there was an inspite change that affects students with our notes.

During the first period ITSA institution deman-ded that students should be qualified accor-

ding with the university me-thod.

The new method in the Jorge Isaacs School combines the quantita-tive and qualitative as-

pects.

I n the moment the government has given new rules for evaluations in the schools.

According with the National Ministry, Decree number 1290.

The new scale in our Institution is:

Superior 4.5 to 5.0

High 3.7 to 4.4

Basic 3.0 to 3.6

Low 1.0 to 2.9

Students can count with the schoolar pathway patrol. It´s a Metrotránsito program.

Students from grades 9°, 10° help the Jorge Isaacs community to walk correctly for the pathway so they save people from danger or accidents caused by very cars in the street.

Since half past six in the morning, pathway patrol is in the principal gateway at school and around the school too.

Pathway Patrol students wear special clothes with an orange waistcoat and carry signals in their hands like “STOP and GO”.

The Transit Institute signaled the street around the school with appropriate sings.

Anorexia is eating disorders in solves a weight caused by the same person. Anorexia is cha-racterized by fear of increasing weight.

We ask people what they think about ano-rexia an they answered:

CAMILO: “I think we must help them to un-derstand the importance having leaded a healthy life without making case of stereoty-ped passenger’s fashion.”

SOFIA:”Good to me, I think is… do, for these people is important to think about “why” are they doing damage to themselves.”

Anorexia can start from 12 years and it might affect population between 14 and 18 y e a r s . It is more prevalent in less favored social classes and midsole and upper midsole. Social state affected people are more than 95% percent women. Reasons for this affection are because more of them are interested in beau-ty; while men have produced it when they are professional such as dancers or models.

Day by day is manifested new profits from Internet, but the negative effects also are present.

What are some negatives effects?

In an emotional way, internet creates couples and sometimes it breaks, because people leave off his friends in the real world, sometimes people ignore part-ners and even their children.

Internet can carry many physical problems like back pain, obsessive by lack of exercises

or sleeping disorder. In extreme ca-ses it can cause to lost job for a bad use of this.

Don’t forget Internet is very good, but don’t permit Internet take pos-session of you.

A WONDERFUL TEACHER´S DAY

On may 15th of 2009 Students from District Jorge Isaacs school celebrated a wonderful teacher´s day, with Mexican music of Mariachis, and a lots of presents for teachers.

The women of the distrit Jorge Isaacs School organized The Men´s day for March 19th. It was a good idea in honor to day of San José. The celebration was fantastic and the teachers and students enjoyed very much.

The tectonic is a very original dance it is basically a new style of dance, specially a style of electronic dance music. It is a kind of mixture between hip-hop, break-dance and techno. They are movements by way of electrical impulses to the music, using the tips of the body. The most important is to have the dance still, clothes and hair. Originated in France and is expanding in every world.

Teachers prepared different activities likes Karaoke, Marathon, dance, games, domi-noes, run with sacs and student´s team played a football match vs. teachers team. The worry of our parents always is the per-son whose theirs daughters will choose for live in the future.

Parents should give more love to their daughters in these ages, in spite the young couldn´t had to go out to look for these kind of feeling.

The songs of love in adolescents always describe the pain of the love more than en-joy. It describe the intense lonely of the ado-lescent with respect to the parent´s feeling.
