Click anywhere in Address Bar to type web address!

Notice that the previous address is “selected” (i.e. highlighted in blue)

You can just start typing the web address and the old text will disappear!

Web Address

• Often called URL (uniform resource locator) or web site address

• Example: http://www.cnn.com

• To reduce typing, you can skip typing the first part of the web address (http://www.)

• E.g. Just type cnn.com into the address bar and the web browser will automatically reconstruct the full address

Search Box in Web Browser

• Instead of going to the search engine’s web page (e.g. google.com or bing.com), you can just type your search query into the search box in the web browser

• E.g. Type allama iqbal birthday into the search box. Press enter to run the query

• You can change the default search engine if you want
