Transcript of Revised Portfolio
I am a designer, an artist, a photographer and a dreamer. I also enjoy a good adventure, whether it be hiking in the great Rocky Mountains, riding the open roads, or rafting down on the Arkansas River. I am inspired by the wonder and majesty of creation, and by people and places everywhere. I dream of making a difference in my community and changing lives one at a time. My gift is to create. And with that gift I hope to give back to the world around me.

Graphic Design allows me to take my love for drawing, photography, and design and combine it all into one. I love taking words, thoughts, and ideas and creating a single image or design to describe it all.

Francine Rivers’ book series, the Mark of the Lion, is a story of unfailing love, divine hope, and selfless service. I used my own illustrations to recreate a more modern version of the book covers which will appeal more to the target audience.

Energi Kids Footwear was created for a partner branding project. The assignment was to create a name, identity, and entire look for a children’s shoe store. Energi Footwear has shoes that fit the everyday lifestyle of the average active kid and can be worn on any occasion.

Memphis Flavor BBQ held a competition to create a new identity and package design for their BBQ sauce. I wanted to create a look that was unique to Memphis and attracted both males and females. My design was selected by the company to be the new identity of their product.

This is the cover and contents page design for Harding University’s Petit Jean Yearbook. The theme for the year was “dig deeper” so I incorporated a root design throughout the whole book.

Jacob’s Place is a homeless ministry that serves the people of white county, Arkansas. It is a non-profit organization located in Searcy, Arkansas and can take up to 4 families at a time. I redesigned their logo and stationary for them so they could have a more professional and inviting look.

The World Mission Workshop is an event held every year at different Christian schools around the United States. In 2010 it was hosted by Harding University, where it took on a whole new look and was relocated to the rolling hills of northeast Arkansas. I designed all the graphics for the workshop, including the logo, brochure, t-shirts, poster, program, signs, and more.

Photography allows me to capture moments that exist only for a split second, and then vanish in the blink of an eye. It preserves memories, special occasions, friendships and much more that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Creating things with my hands is truly a passion of mine. Whether it be painting, drawing, crafting, doodling, sewing, or knitting, it allows my spirit and imagination to run free and calms the inmost part of my soul.
Fine Art
In the fall of 2009, I took the semester off and traveled abroad for an internship in east Africa. My time was spent between the countries of Uganda, Kenya, and Sudan. While there I completed 3 murals, one mosaic, and taught art lessons to one of the missionary’s kids. The murals were painted on a church building in Mbale, Uganda, and a primary and nursery school in Kitale, Kenya. The mosaic was created for Good News Production International, a media organization that uses technology to share the good news.

This book began as an old encyclopedia and was recreated into a work of art that represents the free spirit inside everyone. It reminds me to follow my dreams and go wherever I am called.
