REVISED PERSONAL STATEMENT by Hector L. Figueroa

My name is Hector L. Figueroa Monsanto and I am a seventeen

years old. I a freshman in the Chemistry Department at UPR Cayey in

pursuing my goal to become a neurosurgeon. This comes from my

curiosity at a young age and have always looked beyond exceeded

without learning to conform. Looking better in all fields became

interested in the field of the brain as this governs the body and all its

functions.

From small despite having changed much school I always I kept

good grades. I stand in the sport and I developed as an independent

individual to my studies. By this I see the future I want to pursue one

full of knowledge and experiences to live.

As part of my vivid experience that I give me strength this day that

my orthopedist diagnosed me a fibroid in the tibia which had to be

removed and place a synthetic bone. This experience was during my last

year of high school. It was the most difficult and arduous that I had but

by persevering I managed to end with good grades and graduate with

high honors in high school.

Essentially, I want to cultivate myself as a person that doesn’t give

up in any circumstances and fights through adversity no matter what.

Experiences have thought me a lot throughout my life. I’ll allways strive

to become the best that I can be and place my efforts into helping others

while I’m at my best.
