Gerunds

Gerunds are nouns that look like verbs ending in ING

Ex. I like walking in the rain.

Participles

Participles are adjectives that look like verbs. They usually end in ing or ed, but can also have irregular forms.

Ex. Walking in the rain, the traveler searched for shelter.

Infinitives

Infinitives are to+ verb and can act like nouns, adjectives, or adverbs.

Ex. I like to walk in the rain.

munching noises. 7. I think I want to eat pizza tonight. 8. Whatever is in the oven seems to be burning.
