Rev. 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

Gr.”abusson”= deep or abyss

Different phrase to ch.9:1

Those in the bottomless pit are the mortals who would rebel against the righteous rule of the Lord Jesus Christ,

The Dragon symbolizes a nation/s controlled by those who think, speak & act like the serpent

After the events of Eden, the serpent became a symbol of those who think, speak & act in rebellion against God

Serpent in Eden teaches rebellion against the truth of the word of God
