Dear Parishioners of Santa Cruz, I am grateful for your welcome to Santa Cruz and a great first week. Here are a few announcements to keep you updated. Last weekend I announced that we are planning on put-ting permanent cameras in the church to live-stream. I am grateful to generous parishioners who contributed the entire cost of the project. We are now in a position to order. Instillation is pending on back-orders but we hope to have it soon. Thank you again for bringing this project to fruition and placing Santa Cruz in position to respond to the needs of our times We wish Criss, Jennifer and Andrew all of God's bless-ings as they transition out of the Religious Education Department. Our gratitude also is to Edward as he re-tires as the Director of Religious Education. Their work was essential to the success of our faith formation pro-gram. Please do me the favor of extending your grati-tude to them when you see them. Plans are ongoing for this new catechetical year. Please stay close to the bul-letin and website for more information when that plan is announced. We continue to move forward in our time together. Please be assured of my daily prayers. Good Morning, I write to you to let you know about some transitions that will be going on in the Religious Education Department. We have had an outstanding staff who has allowed us to maneuver through the uncharted waters of a global pandemic. Their as-sistance was essential in helping Santa Cruz move through it and I remain profoundly grateful.

Criss, Jennifer and Andrew have decided to move on to differ-ent positions. While we will miss them, we certainly wish them well.

Criss Jass – has been our receptionist for the past 2 years. She has been a great point of contact for so many. Criss took on this position after she retired and is now looking forward to enjoying full retirement with her husband. Her last day is Thursday, July 23, 2020.

Jennifer Lopez – was with us from May-July as our Adminis-trative Assistant. Jennifer graduated from High School this year. She is leaving to fulfill her goal of serving in the Marines. She is very excited to enter the military and hopes to make it a lifelong career. Her last day was Monday, July 13, 2020.

Andrew Ramirez – was our Special Projects Coordinator and then stepped up to be our Youth Ministry Coordinator. During the pandemic he hosted Zoom meetings and brought on guest speakers each week. Andrew is returning to be a missionary with NET ministry where he will continue to share his gifts and talents with the young church. His last day is Fri-day, July 31, 2020.

On behalf of the whole community, I wish to express our grati-tude for their contribution to the faith formation program here at Santa Cruz. We wish them God's blessings in their new endeavors. Please assist me in expressing your gratitude to them when you see them.

Erik Diaz and I will work to assess the needs of the coming year and find the personnel necessary to continue the mission of Evangelization, especially in the midst of these uncertain times.

As a parish community, we remain grateful for our excellent staff and volunteers who make the faith formation program possible. It is a result of hardworking and talented individuals who God has directed here by his providence.

Le escribo para informarle sobre algunas transiciones que se llevarán a cabo en el Departamento de Edu-cación Religiosa. Hemos tenido un personal sobresali-ente que nos ha permitido maniobrar a través de las aguas desconocidas de una pandemia global. Su asis-tencia fue esencial para ayudar a Santa Cruz a avanzar y sigo profundamente agradecido.

Criss, Jennifer y Andrew han decidido pasar a diferentes posiciones. Si bien los extrañaremos, ciertamente les deseamos lo mejor.

Criss Jass: ha sido nuestra recepcionista durante los últimos 2 años. Ella ha sido un gran punto de contacto para muchos. Criss asumió este cargo después de re-tirarse y ahora espera disfrutar de la jubilación completa con su esposo. Su último día es el jueves 23 de julio de 2020.

Jennifer Lopez - estuvo con nosotros de mayo a julio como nuestra asistente administrativa. Jennifer se graduó de la escuela secundaria este año. Andrew regresa para ser un misionero con el ministerio NET donde continuará compartiendo sus dones y talentos con la joven iglesia. Su último día es el viernes 31 de julio de 2020.
