IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME since we have been able to be together physically to celebrate Mass and join in other community ac vi es, yet it is all for the health and safety of our community. As of now, no one from our parish has died due to Covid-19 and through God’s grace that will con nue

to be the case. Fr. Nate and I will con nue to celebrate Mass privately during the week and have the weekend Mass online at our website and Facebook page. Thank you to all who are watching and praying with your parish community. During the Triduum, it was live-streamed and there were some technical difficul es (with the streaming site and the internet at large) so for weekend Mass we will con nue with recording and pos ng the Masses. We appreciate all the posi ve comments we have received about these Masses. HOPEFULLY MAY WILL ALSO BRING WITH IT some li ing of social restric ons. It may be a gradual change so keep posted on current informa on via the website and our emails. If you know of parishioners who are not on the internet, call them to keep them abreast as the situa on changes. Once the “stay at home” restric on is li ed, Fr. Nate and I will have daily mes for confessions. Masses will be brought back according to guidelines from the state and the diocese. Typically in May I would be telling you about First Communion, Baccalaureate, Gradua ons, etc. Here are some of the changes in the schedule: First Communion has been postponed. We will

probably schedule a couple of weekends as early as possible in the summer months.

Baccalaureate Mass was going to be this weekend. We will do the blessing of our high school seniors during the Mass. Also, Melissa Hund-Cerna and our youth ministers have put together a video of our seniors and that is on the website. Go watch it and say a prayer for these gradua ng seniors.

Confirma on is re-scheduled for Saturday, October 3 at the 5:00 p.m. Mass.

VBS (Vaca on Bible School) – To Be Determined (or) cancelled this year.

I HAVE BEEN PROUD OF OUR PARISH COMMUNITY in the ways you have been reaching out to one another and your neighbors. Con nue to be a visible presence of the Risen Christ. He is Alive, Alleluia, Alleluia!

Up-to-date informa on can be found on our website and social media accounts, along with calling the parish office. Jesus Christ, you travelled through towns and villages “curing every disease and illness.” At your command, the sick were made well. Come to our aid now, in the midst of the spread of the Coronavirus, that we might experience your healing love. Heal those who are sick, and be with those who have died. Heal us from our fear and pride. Be with families who worry and grieve. Be with medical professionals who seek to heal, placing themselves at risk. Be with leaders of all na ons. Give them wisdom. Jesus Christ, stay with us as we persist and prepare, in place of anxiety give us your peace. Jesus Christ, heal us. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen

LAST WEEK IN THE PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL, we prayed for Deacon Paul and Carlos because the kidney transplant had been scheduled for that week. As things frequently happen with surgeries, it was postponed. This was a huge disappointment for Deacon Paul and Carlos as they were both mentally and physically prepared. They are now looking at six weeks. Please con nue to keep them in your prayers…it will happen! WE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ALL OF YOU and miss you at our weekend and school liturgies. Our church is beau ful, yet feels empty. It is unlocked (east door only) during the day and you are welcome to come and visit if you are comfortable. Our tapings are going well and we are so thankful for the technology that allows us to stay in contact and bring the liturgy to you. We are doing everything that is possible without viola ng any orders that are placed upon us and be assured that we will be ready to move to the next phase when it happens. Thank you for your pa ence!

ATTENTION READERS: We are planning to organize book discussions again, but because of the pandemic we will do them differently than in the past many years.
