Vannoy Construction Company, Inc. served as the General Contractor and Perkins & Will provided the architectural services. Vannoy’s management team consisted of Buddy McKeen and Hansen French – Project Managers and Rusty Bratcher – Project Superintendent. Ace’s project team consisted of Chris Hinson – Project Manager, Dennis Hales and Brian Hamilton – Project Superin- tendents and Zach Deal – Estimator. Other Ace employees that worked on the job were Chuck Carter, Leye Carter, Trevor Cobb, Adam Grooms, Penny Harris, Caleb Hart, Reggie Haywood, Michael Madison, Bubba Moore, Josh Pevey, Nick Pugliano, Matt Purvis, Brian Ridgle, Tyler Scarboro, Jonathon Taylor, Gaston Vance, Brody Vickers along with multiple others. Also deserving recognition for the success of the project are FD&E’s Glenda Berard (BIM) and Larry Breeden (XY). The 20 month project consisted of extensive renovations and expansions of existing hospital facilities. The project scope of work required entirely new plumbing, medical gas, mechanical and electrical infrastructure as well as site modifications to include relocations of utilities, sidewalks, drives and pedestrian walkways. The renovated and expanded spaces now feature a pediatric emergency department, radiology, MRI, PACU/ recovery, four operating rooms, pre-op, central sterile services, pediatric patient rooms and PICU rooms and laboratory and pharmacy services. We would like to thank Vannoy Construction Company for the relationship and opportunity and congratulate Memorial Health on their new hospital facilities. Our heartfelt sympathies to Garrett Castleman for the

loss of his father, Michael Castleman on March 7th at

the age of 52, Greg Register for the loss of his broth-

er, Tim Register on March 16th at the age of 48 and

to Cary Runge for the loss of his father Paul

McManus on March 23rd at the age of 81. Please

keep these mourning families in your prayers during

this difficult time.

On February 20th, Deanna and

Buckshot Shuman competed in

the Guns and Hoses 5K in Wood-

stock, GA. Buckshot and Deanna

placed second and third, respec-

tively in their divisions. The race

benefited the Goshen Valley Boys

Ranch and Sheriff Frank Reynolds

Charities in Cherokee County.

Jack Zeigler, William Kenyon, Rob Stalvey and Lake

Fletcher represented Ace in the Lowndes High School

FFA Sporting Clay Tournament at Southwind Sporting

Clays in Quitman, GA on March 6th. The Ace Team

scored 80% overall and had a great time.

Congratulations to Nic Stagner with FD&E who

recently earned an Associates of Science Degree

from Georgia Military College. Great job Nic!

In Memory of

Rocky Lopez

November 23, 1980 - March 10, 2021 The Ace Family is mourning

the loss of one of its own.

Rocky Lopez (40), an

Electrician with the

Tennessee Division passed

away unexpectedly in Dublin,

Ohio on March 10, 2021.

Rocky is from Brownsville,

Texas and leaves behind his

wife, Laura, three children:

Genesis (8), Maria (4) and

Alexander (2) and many

friends. While he had only been with Ace for seven

months, Rocky’s life and passing has made a

profound impact on his Ace Family and he will be

missed. Please keep Rocky’s family in your thoughts

and prayers.

The Ace Family continues to grow!

On April 1st, Kacey and Blake Miller

welcomed their 6 lbs, 12 oz. baby

girl Laylamae into the world.

Congratulations to the proud new

parents!

Six Ace Team members recently received CPR/

AED/First Aid training at Project Sunshine in

Columbia, SC. Project Superintendent

Angel Martinez said, “We ensured ALL

supervision were trained and

equipped to respond to

emergencies, both on

and off the jobsite.” In

addition to the training, the Ace Safety

Team purchased two AED’s for the

jobsite to be used in the event of a

cardiac arrest.

Rob Stalvey recently received a Certified Electrical

Contractor’s License for the State or Florida and

Electrical Contractor’s License for the State of

Alabama. Congratulations, Rob!

Our Feature Employee for this

issue is Brian Ridgle. Brian joined

the Ace Team in January of 2014

as a Project Superintendent out of

the Statesboro Division. His most

recent projects are Savannah

Arena, Augusta University College

of Science and Math, Children’s

Hospital of Savannah, Columbia County Performing

Arts Center, Indigo Hall Assisted Living Center,

Gulfstream Service Center and New Dyess Parkway

K-8 School.

Brian graduated from Lake City High School in

Lake City, SC. He has 30 years’ experience in the

construction field and holds a Master Electrician

License in South Carolina.

He lives in Statesboro, GA with his wife Lorie. They

have five grown children: Kara Ridgle, Brian Ridgle,

Nikolai Roten, Mitzi Roten and Bobby Carpenter. He

is a proud grandparent of 12. In his spare time,

Brian enjoys restoring cars, renovating houses,

gardening, hunting and fishing.
