STOCKLAND PROPERTY GROUP State Design Manager Jun 06 - Jun 13 Responsibilities • Manage Queensland urban design process for Master Planned Communities • Responsible for residential product development • Planning Approval and Stakeholder management.
Achievements • Implemented a preferred tender process for Planning and Design
consultancies. This saved the company $7.5m pa in consulting fees. • Successfully negotiated Infrastructure Agreements and Planning approvals with
Local and State Authorities at Pallara (Brisbane), Paradise Waters (Ipswich), Kawana Waters (Sunshine Coast), and North Lakes (Moreton Bay). These agreements and approvals significantly reduced the cost of development, improved the speed to market and increased the value of the land holdings.
• Successfully managed and directed the design process to develop the Caloundra South residential and town centre development plan.
• Created the Stockland Master Plan Community guideline. This enabled the systematic planning and design of Master Plan Communities and is highly regarded as the reference document
• Created and managed the implementation of small lot product into existing and future Master Planned Communities. In particular, Mode North Lakes (Moreton) and North Shore (Townsville) This resulted in broadening market reach by making housing more affordable thereby significantly increasing the profit margins of the organisation.

Achievements • Successfully completed the Maroochy Shire Development Contribution Policies • Engaged extremely well with stakeholders that brought forward $17m in

MAROOCHY SHIRE COUNCIL
Coordinator Infrastructure Planning Jun 00 – Jun 04 Responsibilities
• Manage the Shires long-term infrastructure planning including, Roads, Parks, Stormwater, Bikeways, Community Facilities, Water and Sewer. This involved managing multi-disciplined teams, consultants, liaising with the Council, community and government agencies
Achievements • Successfully managed a multi-disciplined team that developed future
Infrastructure Strategies, Levels of Service and Contributions policies for the Shires Trunk Infrastructure for the next 25 years. These plans determined the true value of future infrastructure to the shire and identified the potential recovery of costs and funding gaps to be managed over time
• Liaised effectively with the key internal stakeholders to implement administration and financial systems to manage the contribution collection and allocation
• Successfully managed external industry stakeholders throughout the preparation of the Infrastructure Planning process. This resulted in no objections being lodged by the industry during the notification process and allowing Council to implement the Policies sooner.

FRANKSTON CITY COUNCIL
Executive Officer – Strategic Planning Jan 95 – Jan 00 Responsibilities The development and management of Council’s strategic and corporate planning program. This involved policy development and advice to Senior Staff, Council and Community and responsibility for the management of external and internal multi-disciplinary teams and planning appeals. Achievements • Successfully prepared and managed the Frankston Central Activities District
(CAD) “Pride of Place” program. The purpose of this program was to direct and lead Council investment in the CAD. This instilled community pride in place and encouraged stakeholders to invest in the CAD. Projects involved;
• Managing the preparation of a design and construct tender for a Council
owned car park that resulted in a $150m Shopping Centre investment by the Gandel and Grollo Corporations
• Kananook Creek revitalisation project • Olivers Hill Safe Boat harbour • CAD Streetscape plan and implementation. This work received a Banksia
Award for Landscape design • Identification of highest and best use of Council owned land to encourage
investment in the CAD • Management of the revitalisation of Life Saving Club and Major Sports

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT • Bachelor of Arts (Urban and Regional Planning), Curtin University of
Technology (W.A) 1987. The main stream of this course was based on physical land use planning, economics and research methods.
• Master of Urban Planning, University of Melbourne (VIC) 1992. This course had a strong theoretical structure, as well as, quantitative and qualitative research methods.
