Single European Payments Area (SEPA) Program – Tipperary Release (June 2012 – Present)

Summary:

The SEPA initiative aims to overcome technical, legal and market barriers between countries in order to create a single market for retail payments in euro. The goal is to make payments in euro and across Europe as fast, safe and efficient as national payments are today. This is a mandatory project regulated by the European Union. There are multiple releases as a part of this program. The Tipperary release is the major release within the program where close to 58 bank’s applications are impacted.
