United States Marine Corps, August 2010 – Present
Training Manager/Technician supervisor - Ensure quarterly and annual technical training requirements are completed and properly
documented by Technicians.
- Observe Lab processes and correct deficiencies with formal and informal OJT.
- Consult with senior staff on solutions to prevent future discrepancies and loss.
- Interpret and provide clarification of procedural guidance to junior technician.
- Account for (15) technicians, organize individual schedules to reduce overlap and maintain
productivity.

Electrical/Fiber-optic Technician - Read, comprehend, and perform Instrument Calibration Procedures for test equipment (e.g.
Handheld Multi-meters, Clamp-meters, Fiber optic test-pads).

- Confirm settings and connections are correct to prevent damage to standards and units under test.
- Utilize manufacturer references and manuals to adjust readings.

Repair Technician - Troubleshoot and diagnose faults down to board level in electrical test measurement equipment.
- Apply modification instructions and technical instructions to gear and components (e.g. Software
upgrade, basic component soldering, parts replacement).
- Determine most economic actions to be taken between repair labor and equipment replacement.

equipment. (e.g. Pressure Gauges, Torque Tools, Force/Mass devices, Physical Dimensional
Measuring devices, Thermometers, etc…).
- Accurately document tolerances, standards, and procedures used during testing on laboratory data
base.
- Adjust equipment into tolerances and properly record as found and adjusted values.
