When furnishing a restaurant there are two main aspects to consider that take priority over anything else, these are comfort and aesthetics. Once you get these things right you need to consider ways to maximise space and get as many customers as possible in your venue without comprimising the look and feel of the establishment. Because lets face it your not just buying furniture to make your restaurant look nice, you are doing this but you are also spending money on your restaurant to make a return on your investment. For example if you are spending £10k on refurbishing your restaurant, we would expect to to receive an increase in annual turnover of approximately four times that figure. Fixed seating is a great way to save space, this can be manufactured in one long length, individual sections or booths depending on your requirements. Alternatively we offer free standing small dining chairs and tables that allow you to fit more in a room than if you chose. We reccomend the following restaurant table dimensions:

Many restaurants have lounge areas to seat guests before they eat. This is a good place to put fully upholstered seating such as tub chairs and sofas, where customers can enjoy a drink and a chat before they proceed into the restaurant area. Many of our contract fabrics have matching patterns and contrasting colours so you can maintain the same design scheme in the lounge area if you wish.

A good tip for creating an expensive look without going over budget is to mix the upholstery on a single item. For example if you are purchasing upholstered dining chairs for your restaurant then you may want to consider upholstering the outside back in an eye catching designer fabric (such as our Harlequin Range) and then using an (A) or (B) range fabric for the chair seat and other upholstered areas.
