It will be especially important that we continue this next week as our student numbers increase significantly. Being informed is very important at the moment so please keep a close eye on our modes of communication, Facebook, Skoolbag App, Class Dojo and Seesaw for ongoing updates. Congratulations and Welcome Congratulations to Mrs Sandra Lappan who has recently been appointed permanently to the position of Deputy Principal at WWS. This is a just reward for many years of hard work at WWS – our school community is extremely lucky to have such a hard working committed leader. Also, I would like to formally welcome Mr Ari Paparestis who has recently been appointed as WWS’s new School Psychologist. He will work alongside Mrs Mathews for the remainder of 2020, which is a huge win for our school. Home Heroes This week will see the first students at WWS receive our new ‘Home Hero’ Awards. Students who have been working hard while learning at home have been identified by class teachers and will receive a certificate. Keep an eye out for these awards possibly coming your way! Attendance Communication Update To commence Week 3 (11 th May), parents of absent students will be sent an initial SMS as per our normal attendance system. If your intention is to only attend school on the day designated for your child, please respond “attending class day only – COVID 19 social distancing”. This response will ensure you do not receive ongoing daily SMS attendance messages. In this case you will only receive an SMS if your child is absent on their designated day.

It will be especially important that we continue this next week as our student numbers increase significantly. P&C NEWS BLUEY’S SNACK SHACK IS OPEN

Next week, Week 3, the canteen will be opening 5 days a week but in limited capacity. We will be only accepting lunch orders through Quickcliq, our online ordering system. There will be no over the counter sales. No before school breakfast, recess or lunch snacks. There will also be a limited menu which will be distributed at the end of this week via Facebook and the Skoolbag App. No CASH sales available.

This is to keep our canteen ladies safe and also because we cannot have any volunteers at this time.

ALL LUNCH ORDERS MUST BE ORDERED THROUGH QUICKCLIQ!!

P&C ZOOM MEETING

We have a P&C Zoom meeting happening tomorrow night, Thursday 7th May at 7:00pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone, well sort of anyway. So, visit the ‘Events’ tab of our Facebook page for more information on joining our meeting.

SCHOOL BANKING

We are still unable to do school banking. We will advise when this is once again up and running.

UNIFORM SHOP

The Uniform Shop will open from next week, Week 3, for online orders only through Quickcliq, our online ordering system. Once your order is placed, Jordana our Uniform Shop Coordinator will be in touch about collection. No CASH sales available.

‘Creating from Home’

Many of our students had fun building and creating their own dragons out of household items whilst social distancing

at home.
