ield1 Core 7 can comprise no more than 4+/5 o the total CEUs earned per year1 Thereore) i one

1 Types o CEUsSpecialty CEUs ocus on the technical side o codin! or speciic medical

specialties1 &n the vendor application) select the medical specialties that *ill be ocused on in the

Re0uirements: Fuestions must be ollo*ed by rationales that include a detailed narrative tellin! the story

o ho* to come to the correct ans*er11 Students do not learn eectively *ith rationales that simply state

that the *ron! ans*er *as chosen9 it2s important to understand ho* to ind the ri!ht ans*er1 #ationales

should enrich the established curriculum not copy it exactly1 'hat ollo*s are examples o acceptable

rationales;

• Shortness o breath is documented1 =o*ever) S&7 is a common symptom associated *ith

pneumothorax) and ICD%K%C( &icial Codin! "uidelines state) Si!ns and symptoms that are inte!ral to
