Always have your applicant sign some form of agreement that authorizes the release of consumer information.
This agreement can be done in 2 ways:
• Authorization to Release Consumer Information Form
• On the Rental Application

Don’t depend on your applicants to tell you the truth.
• “Are you a felon?”• “No”
• “Okay, you’re hired.”
