Exam Week 3– Tri 2
Congratulations to those of you who have finished exams and good luck to
those with some still to go.
If you have finished, please remember that the Noise/Guest/Party free
period doesn’t finish until the afternoon of Friday 24th October.
This is to try and give those still
studying the best environment
possible to get in all the study and
sleep necessary to achieve
academic success.
If you have finished and want to
celebrate, that’s great but please show
respect to your fellow residents and keep the noise down. If you are going
to be drinking or celebrating, then going off site may be the best option for
you as we have had a number of people breach the Noise/Guest/Party
free period last week. Please show respect to your fellow residents and not
make any excessive noise during this time.
If you have any questions or concerns, please come to MB reception and
ask one of the staff.

and speak to reception if interested!
Don’t forget 2015 applications are also now open via the Portal!!
Currently there a plans on more new accommodation for Burwood Student
Residences. In part of the planning process, we would like to hear some
feedback from students who currently live here. Shortly we will have a
survey that we will email out to all current residents which will give you the
opportunity to have your say about the new building. There might be some
things that current buildings (MB and BSV) don’t have that would make the
new buildings even better eg more rec area’s on each floor.
If you would like to have some input into the future buildings of Burwood
Student Residences, please fill out the survey when you receive the email in
the next few days.

help you! Just bring your Deakin Card with you!

No matter when you plan on checking out, you MUST leave your
room/studio apartment in a clean and tidy state at the end of T2!
For those at BSV and the MB Shared Apartments, your RLs have created
cleaning rosters for check-out.
You will not only be responsible for
cleaning your bedroom, but
communal areas as well.
Everyone in BSV and MB Shared
Apartments will be
assigned a specific cleaning task, so
please see your RL as soon as possible for
details on cleaning
expectations.
If your room is left dirty or if you do not contribute to the cleaning of
common areas, charges will apply and an encumbrance will be placed on
your Deakin account. You will not be able to access your results or re-enrol
until the charges are paid!
Clean Up Before You Check Out!

We are still very keen to hear what your plans are beyond T2!
If you haven’t already, please notify
reception ASAP if you are:
staying for T3 (Remember, you don’t
have to be studying!)
wishing to extend your stay for just a few
extra days/weeks/months
leaving earlier than November 3rd
This will assist us greatly with preparing rooms
for incoming students.
