March 2013
Dear Valued Customer:
I would like to thank you for your continued support of Fujitsu.
Our world is changing very rapidly. As globalization brings the world’s economies ever closer together, profoundly changing the business environment, it is creating new opportunities as well as greater market volatility. Looking at the broader forces shaping society, a rising global population is putting pressure on supplies of food, water, fossil fuels, and other natural resources, and the aging of society, particularly in the advanced industrialized nations, is bringing about a myriad of new challenges. We also must prepare ourselves for a variety of unforeseen risks including natural disasters.
Amid these challenges, the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) is also changing. Having undergone an exponential improvement in performance, ICT is no longer simply used to improve productivity or raise operational efficiency. ICT now has the power to help solve some of the important challenges facing business and society. The power of ICT to deliver new sources of value to business and to reshape the infrastructure of our societies did and will further increase over time.
Fujitsu is committed to leveraging these new powers of ICT to the greatest extent possible to help our customers succeed and to transform society. Our goal is to work with our customers and our communities to help bring about a prosperous future in which people can live in comfort and safety.
I am very pleased to announce that we will be hosting Fujitsu Forum 2013 with the theme of “Reshaping ICT, Reshaping Business and Society,” which reflects our desire to help our customers transform their businesses.
Fujitsu Forum 2013 will feature a variety of seminars and exhibit demonstrations on initiatives in which ICT is used to help improve communities and enable them to cope with the challenges they face; on the new ways of using ICT, such as mobile applications and “big data” applications, to support the transformation and growth of your business; and on the advanced products, services, and technologies that enable these transformations.
I warmly invite you to join us at Fujitsu Forum 2013. I am convinced that you will experience insights that will help you take your business to new Levels.
Sincerely,
1
