• Bauer Media are part of the Bauer Media Group that spread its publishing groups with 300 magazines worldwide and other media platforms of online, TV and radio. However their most popular media publishing in the UK is magazine print and radio. Many of their magazine concepts having been transferred to radio (Kerrang- Kerrang radio).

They create magazine genres for print, online, mobile and tablet forms but in the UK they are mostly known for their print magazine. They have an audience of 26 million adults, mostly women. • One of the most popular magazines in the UK, BBC magazines produce many different genres of magazines from children to music to food and lifestyle. They therefore have a large target audience overall meaning they are successful and sell more copies of their magazine.

Why Do People Create Magazines?

Companies create magazine because they are still a popular form of media that can reach across many people. In order to keep up with the times and to ensure they still have an audience to carry producing magazines for, magazine production companies now need to create digital formats of their magazines. With this in mind still, magazine can reach across many age groups, social classes and background, giving information and entertainment for a mass group of people. With such a large amount of magazine readers and target audience, magazine still can make a profit from production, but these days this production may have to be on a digital format.
