These picture are the first four shots (in terms of typography) in the film’s title sequence, with the first of them featuring around 40 seconds in. The text is coupled with a narrator which talks about and explains each and every subject that the text is referring to in much more detail. The text is in clear bold writing so it is easy to read, and the actual text is kept shortened so the audience can listen to the narrator at the same time. There is also interaction between the text and the things happening in the shots too, for example in the second shot blood splatters on the text as a zombie is shot in the head. Also, in shot one the text stating ‘cardio’ pulsates like a heart.

The next shots introduce the film institutions that have produced/distributed the film such as Columbia Pictures, Relativity Media and a Pariah Production. The typography still continues to interact in these shots, for example when the man is thrown off a building the text falls with him to the floor. In the next two shots the text crumbles as the screen begins to transition to the shot coming after. The 3D text makes for intriguing viewing for the audience, as it is not commonly used in the film industry. This signifies how the film will be creative and maybe a destructive genre.

The proceeding shots introduce the main actors involved in the film to the audience. The names mentioned here will most likely be either well-known actors or be the main characters in the narrative (or both). The font is large and clear to read, whilst it contains a gritty red colour, which seems to be resembling the bloody and gory nature of this film. This signifies that the movie will be extremely violent, which can also be likened to the heavy metal song playing in the background. Each actor that is mentioned has their own scene with things going on in the background which show the destructive nature and overall feel of the film, letting the audience know what the atmosphere feels like before the actual narrative unravels.

The name of the film is shown on screen in the same style of typography as used previously but in a slightly larger font size for more emphasis. A man then smashes the piece of glass that the text is integrated in, as the letters fall with the glass segments. This again represents the anarchy, chaos and overall gruesome tone of the film.

Several more roles within the films making are shown such as: CastingCostume designerEditorsMusicProduction designerDirector of photographyExecutive producers.

The last roles that can be seen are the producers, writers and directors, because these are the most important roles involved in the production of the film. Because of this they warrant the most credit, so they come up last in the title sequence when the audience are paying the most attention (because the movie is about to start). The text is still animated and interesting to read in the foreground of the shot.
