11RECREATE
Methodological priorities(WP2)
1. Selecting indicators and defining
RECREATE’s Impact Assessment approach – More than 200 indicators selected– A qualitative, case-based approach to
IA was defined
23 April 2014
12RECREATE
2. Structuring a Scoreboard for the RECREATE focus areas
22 January 2014
13RECREATE
3. Defining RECREATE’s approach to trend analysis
• Framework for identifying and categorizing trends
• Steps defined for creating and testing hypotheses about trends’ implications for RECREATE/SC5
22 January 2014
14RECREATE
4: Describe the components and steps in RECREATE’s Forward-Looking Analysis
• Overall framework elaborated: nested systems in transition, viewed through Multi-Level Perspective
22 January 2014
15RECREATE
5: Ensuring alignment between the various methods and analyses
• Shared conceptual system model elaborated
• Common (wiki) glossary of terms
• Common (wiki) list of data sources
• First elaborations of relevance of inter-linkages/synergies/trade-offs
22 January 2014
16RECREATE
Looking ahead
• Setting up a network of stakeholders to help gather data and validate RECREATE outputs
• Producing 14 policy briefs (every 4 months) on forward looking analysis for EU research and innovation based on quantitative and qualitative analyses
• Target audience: research, industry, policy• Various dissemination means and networks
23 April 2014
17RECREATE
Today
• First stakeholder workshop (three to follow one per year)
• Reporting and validation on current stage of the project: methods defined, real work to start
• Active engagement and input will benefit all
