Thepurposeof thispresenta,on is to showaPhDdisserta,on researchplananditscurrentstatus.Theresearchques,onspecificallyaimsatmeasuringtherela,onshipbetweentheimpactofchallenge-basedgamifica,oninMOOConthe level of innova,on in terms of solving problems related to sustainableenergy.Thisdisserta,onispartoftheStrategicIni,a,veofEnergyProjectthatwas started by the Na,onal Council for Science and Technology in Mexico(CONACYT), the EnergyMinistry (SENER) and the Tecnologico deMonterrey,whichaims formassivetrainingonthetopicsofenergyandsustainability.Atpresent, only the theore,cal framework and the instruments have beendeveloped.

In termsof Study1,we chose anexpost facto approach. RegardingStudy 2, it is inside of program evalua,onmethodologies (a pretest-postestdesign with an only group). Despiteinterna,onaldeclara,onsandconven,ons,thereisacon,nuousandrelentlesseffortbygovernmentstotry,withmoreor lesssubtletyandaconsiderabledegreeofsuccess, to assimilate indigenous peoples into the dominant system. We propose atechnology-based educa,on approach to revitalise indigenous languages, consideringthem as themost important iden,ty feature, aswewill argue in this paper. Culturalfeaturesevolveandchangeover,me,butlanguageisthelinkthatkeepsthepastandthepresenttogetherunderthesameiden,ty.Withtheiden,tylinkoflanguageandastrongeduca,on,theindigenousworldmighthaveastandingchanceofsurvival.
