producer may benefit

from promoting two films

and ‘sex’ exclude some of

the audience from target

market range because kids

under 16 won’t be

welcomed to read this

magazine however they

may be also interested and

that would cause troubles

because even though the

teens will be willing to buy

the magazine the parents

won’t let them to do so.

Addition information shown on the cover will also help

because there will also be different things attracting

different people therefore it is good that they are trying

to present as much as it is possible on one page

without rushing it.

If the audience turn the page over

they will be able to see a different

version of the cover for the same

magazine being edited by a ‘guest’

editors. That will attract the audience

because they will seek to find how the

other cover looks like and they will

also like the magazine for being

unconventional and trying new things

to get new customers.

attract the audience by

THE AVENGERS ASSEMBLE There is several different

front covers of this edition

of empire magazine.

Each one has different

avenger on it therefore all

the characters, but mainly

actors are promoted and

introduced to the

audience. Those are able

to choose the avenger

they like the most.

The main cover line

informs the audience

what the magazine is

about in case they did not

recognise the avenger

and were not sure what

film it is.

The character is shown from a low angle shot because they wanted to emphasize his authority and show that he

is brave and perhaps responsible. The lighting is quiet dark and matches the serious facial expression of the

character. In addition the costume of the character also fits with the background colour. the audience are able to

figure out the genre of the film through the costume of the character and the overall atmosphere created through

the conventions.

This front cover does not have

many typical conventions and is

slightly different because it

concentrated mainly on one film

however at the bottom of the

page there is also link to other

films, which may be beneficial

for the audience as well

because they will be able to see

what is there in the magazine

other than Avengers.

It also promotes other films

which could be less known but

because it is presented in one

magazine with Avengers may

get the interest of audience.

THE HUNGER GAMES Persuades the audience

to buy the magazine so

that they will be able to

find out the critics

opinions and find out if

the movie is worth

watching.

Will make the audience

feel like they really have

to check out the

magazine because there

may be something

exciting and give them a

lot of information. It also

emphasize how the

magazine is different to

others and how well

orientated they are within

the film industry.

The presentation of the main characters of the film also

works on promotion of it because the actors are being

introduced to the audience, they also become

recognisable even before the audience actually watch

the film, and the film will also be recognisable by the

characters which are presented in the magazine.

Makes the audience learn how

to INTERACT with the

magazine in a different way

than reading the articles and

looking at the pictures,

therefore people will be

attracted because the will like

to try something new what isn’t

available through other

magazines.

The Spiderman is also

shown however there is

no any description

related to it therefore the

audience may buy the

magazine to find out if

there’s something about

the Spiderman inside

the magazine.

dedicated to only one film

with one little exception at

the right, left bottom

corner of the page when

are made.

perfectly fit through the

use of blue therefore they

also create the

mysterious atmosphere.

The main character shown on the

image is a lady, she had been

shown to attract lady audience to

watch the film and make them

interested. She is also been shown

because she plays important role in

the film therefore the audience will

be able to refer to this character

when they are watching the film.

The director Ridley Scott is also

mentioned on the cover. He has

already produced a lot of films which

were successful in the past

therefore the audience are able to

refer to his work and it will make up

their mind that this film is as good as

the previous ones.

The genre of the film is recognisable through different details. First of all the character is dressed up in a space

costume therefore people will know that the genre will be fantasy. There is also light coming from the behind of

her and it creates impression that she came from a different planet or that she is going to save the world.
