Kurt J Mac is a you tuber who started a series called ‘Far Lands or bust’ where he walked over 12,000,000 metres to the edge of the map in a game called ‘Minecraft’ this created a lot of publicity and was able to raise over $70,000 dollars.

Zeldathon have raised over £27,000 for Childs play by running live streams of games and also holding events.

Athene is another YouTube gamer who live streams and holds contests where all money raised will go to Childs Play.

Finally a company called ‘The Humble Indie Bundle’ every few months sell a pack of indie games where all proceeds go to childs play. As the latest pack is still selling I will get up the live money raised page now.

SLIDE 1: Bourne End Community Association was formed in 1962 by local people who wanted a social centre to meet the needs of a growing community. The Association consists entirely of volunteers. Fundraising and determination saw the Community Centre open in Wakeman Road on 28 October 1967. Another hall was added a few years later and constant improvements have been made over the years.

SLIDE 2: By using Target magazine! Target magazine was launched in 1964 to provide information about the new Bourne End Community Association. Over the years the magazine has grown and its distribution area has been extended as the local populations have expanded through Bourne End, Wooburn Green, and the surrounding villages. Local groups and their activities feature strongly along with news about the people and places that form a vital part of a lively and interesting community. Advertisements for local businesses and services form the basis of the magazines financial support.

SLIDE 3: Everyday people enjoy the wide range of activities provided through the Centre. The Centre is used by all ages from pre-school to Senior Citizens. From badminton to bowls, keep fit classes and aerobics to drama, singing and dancing. There are coffee mornings, luncheons, lectures and talks as well as rehearsals for shows – and of course the shows themselves.
