The research day is intended to: provide an overview of research activities within the region; serve as a platform for researchers to present their research findings; present an opportunity for health care personnel to receive first-hand feedback on research; identify, strengthen and maintain research opportunities within the region; • encourage ongoing inter-professional collaboration; and introduce knowledge translation. Further information The seminar will focus on research taking place in the rural areas of the Cape Winelands, Overberg and West Coast. The research day will cover the following: research completed and on-going under the auspices of the Department of Health, Western Cape; discussions on the prioritisation of research needs in these rural areas; introductions to effectively translating knowledge; and networking between local researchers with other investigators involved in research at tertiary facilities. This will cover research led by Anova in cooperation with its partners in the Western Cape.
