Research and Planning- March

This is a very nicely laid out front cover. For my magazine I will use many of the aspects of this magazine as it is very similar to my flat plan and images of front covers I have previously seen which embody all the aspects I want for my music magazine.

I also liked the layout of this contents page as it was unique and not the same normal layout of a magazine. I also liked the colour scheme of this as it was not too feminine but was still obviously targeted at women.

Lastly, this double page spread was very eye-catching and allowed me to compile ideas for my magazine. This image and font has a nice layout with some text the same colour as her lipgloss.

First Front cover Draft

My first Front cover has some nice attributes such as the title and head over masthead which is a common convention. However It does not look like a magazine cover and seems slightly empty. The fonts may also be unsuitable so further modifications should be made.

First Draft of Contents

The layout of the page is quite nice, however it does not seem to fit with the House style. It must be the colour scheme as it is very different to the Front cover. Also there are some aspects which stick out, so further modifications should be made.

At first look at my double page spread it seems to a good standard. It looks slightly professional and has some good aspects. However it seems to be missing some aspects the right page of the double page spread seems quite bare so again further modifications should be made.
